The 3rd Annual Corey Invitational June 15th

I don't have to do that anymore :) watch yourself on those slicks Evan. Ivan almost had a rough time on them last week

I'm going to shoot for between 8:30 and 9 unless Evan has a different idea.

I think we should get there a little earlier like 8 since there will be a few OMS newbs that might need some help. And I like to make sure all my stuff is sorted and tech'ed early and I'm ready to go.

You mean you just want to get there before OMS and watch them squirm because they don't know what to do. MUHAHAHAHA

#2, I thought you have NT-01's? What auto-x tires do you have?

You're the boss! It is only an hour drive from my house so it should be easy to make it by 8.

He got rid of those when we all got the Hoosiers. He was running on the slicks on the xxr's last time we auto-x'ed together at Toledo

You sir are correct. The NT-01's were definitely not usable as they were showing the steel bands lol. I got 3 good runs out of them at that Lakeland AutoX I did last year and then the tires were completely shot.

Depending if we take two cars or not, we'll bring the easy up. Marc, may or may not go, he said this past Saturday.......As far as slicks goes, Toledo is Concrete, not asphalt like PIR and they do not have silt like dust on course, so your grip level will go way up!

True... as long as you're using tires that can get heat into them though. That was a problem for Ivan. Those tires he has may be great on a road course, but will never build enough heat for quick autocross jaunts.

I'll probably get there around 7 or so and get my car set up early so I can help with others if needed.

Definitely a great time! Very nice to see some new folks come out and enjoy themselves.

Sorry I didn't make it. I hope you'll forgive me, Corey. I had a couple Corona's at V's wedding...

How did everyone do? Looks like you still won SMF, eh? Corey?

What was this I read about #2's rod bearing going out?

Is that what the problem was with #2's car? Was he able to get it home safe and sound?

Here are the times from yesterday. I had a tough time finding Evan Lewis's time... oh wait.

Tow truck took him away after I pulled him with my car out of the airport gates. It was making a knocking sound.

I need to learn throttle control when coming out of tight turns because of all the weight loss on the lower end and less restriction I'm just spinning the tires. With the subtraction of weight I did I can definitley take turns a lot faster than last year. Should lose a couple more lbs in the next couple months :)
