Has anyone having issues on their oil cooler assembly? I have a mazda 5 2006 and been seeing a lot of oil within the oil cooler assembly and oil filter cap. Every weekend im checking the oil but fortunately the oil is still on the upper most part hole of the dip stick.

I had mine start leaking so I tried taking the cooler apart and making a new seal. The RTV didn't hold and the leak was worse. The solution is to install the newer style cooler (silver instead of black) and they are very expensive. I had to have a running vehicle so the cooler plus the bolt cost $400 at my local dealer. There are less expensive options to buy the factory updated cooler online. The seal in the new cooler is also replaceable.
