The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

Marc, what color is the EP Car being painted?

The top will be 2001 Innocent Blue Mica the same as the '79, and the sides will be 2002 Pure White both are Mazda paint colors from the PPG paint color catalog.
I am going to stop out today and take a couple of pic's and see how its going. I am having the kids at the auto collision repair class at the high school paint it.

Good deal! Can't wait to see the finished product! Are you going to test for TT this year?

Will I'm not really sure if they are looking for work, but it took me about a month before I could bring the car in after I contacted them about it.

I don't care what you say, Marc, I'm bolting one of my Corbeaus in there so I can ride along just once.

Hey guys, any (Gen1 or 2) ms3 guys need a rsb? I bought the new big boy JBR came out with so my old one is for sale. comes with everything you need to install

Looking into having the crank ground down for oversized bearings, lightened, and knife edged. With the flywheel, underdrive pulley, and crankshafy weight being lowered it will be close to reducing the engine rotating weight by almost 18lbs. Might as well do pistons and rods too.
Got Revs? :)

If you're doing all that work then I don't see the point of not getting rods and pistons. Also, if you're getting new bearings I would talk to Nate and get the P/N of the race bearings that ACL makes. I can't remember which vehicle they are actually for but they're not the OEM replacements so should work better for your application.

I might be getting Nate's rods that he has if he ever gets done with the ones he was milling out. We previously talked about the bearings too. I can't remember what other car they were for though off the top of my head. My underdrive pulley is on its way to get shaved down right now. I'll be around 11lbs lighter just with the flywheel and pulley. Probably won't be doing the crank until late summer or fall.

Found it!!! ACL Race Series Bearings for the SR20DET will fit. P/N is 4b2960h. That's the ones I ordered and are currently sitting in my rebuilt engine in the garage. Once you find out your clearances everything should be perfect.
