The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

because you have a Neon that works and a loan causing you stress?

true the neon is my dd and the ms3 can sit. The stress is from the family wanting me to pay off the loan. They thought I wasn't paying on it at all since my grandpa passed and my grandma isn't around anymore. But I have an account with money sitting there that I pay into each month to pay off the loan. So the pressure to sell and pay off has calmed down for the time being

So Nate, the only issue i foresee with you buying an MS6 (I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, I looove my MS6) is the maintenance and upkeep required with an MS6 over a more simple car, or even over an MS3. With Kennedy and being so busy and not having the motivation to wrench as much as you did a few years back, do you think you'll want to do all those necessary little maintenance issues with owning a Fatty?

I've thought about that alot, hence the 6 hatch I posted a week ago. That dealership just can't get the concept of sending me the carfax report before I drive 3 hours but that's another story. I've gotten the bug to do some wrenching back since I sold the MSP and would like to learn on something new. Like I posted earlier I'm only doing maintenance and upgrading when replacements are needed and make sense. I'll never go crazy like I did with the MSP because I'd rather do some house mods and start on the Camaro (hopefully done before I'm 40!). There will probably be times where I just take it somewhere instead of doing the work myself, especially in the winter and I'm ok with that.

MS6's are cheaper and usually in better condition than MS3's also.

Family is crazy, especially when it comes to emotional situations and money. Even when they have nothing to do with each other. You will be doing your whole family a favor to pay it off earlier.

Right on, buddy. Sounds like you've got a plan and gave this some good thought so I'll shut up now. And don't buy an MS3. Then you'll turn into a douche who just talks about how big his turbo is and want to street race everyone. ;)

Plus I hear you have to replace the clutch like every 19k miles or so...

lol! Classic Jake. Doesn't say anything for months then adds a random quip to the conversation. Pringles can.

Co-workers convinced me to join thier "biggest loser" weight loss contest. I think they just wanted me to add to the pot but I can probably win by just getting a hair cut and shaving my beard. Stepped on the scale and was a little surprised at the # and not in a good way.

Well if you are not over weight it would suck to be in that as you don't have much weight to lose as easily as all the other people in the contest

They're not very good at, that's why I could probably win with a hair cut and a shave. They do this about 3-4 times a year and they all weight the same or more everytime. Plus after stepping on the scale I've got some weight I need to lose. It's done by % to make it a little more fair than just pounds lost.

Now that I think about it, I should have worn ankle weights for the first weigh-in. Easy 5lbs of magical weight loss.
