I finally ordered my Limerock tickets. I booked two tent sites as well. They are still doing first-come-first-serve this year so I have no idea where we will be. Planning to drive down Thursday night. If anyone is also making the drive that night and plans to camp let me know and we can work something out so we pull in together.
Bruce I'm approaching 110,000 also. I've got my fluids in the garage but I've been procrastinating because of the leaks. I can't decide if its worth having the dealership repair the transfer case or if I should just top it off every so often. I also have to order the seal for the transmission leak. I'm pretty sure I can do the transmission myself but the transfer case is too involved. Rust on the edge of the hood is getting worse and I'm starting to see rust on the rear fenders.

I'm here, been busy this morning running some errands and just spent the last hour moving a 1/2 ton of stone. Off to pick up the girl child at school soon and then to Tamz office to pick her up.
Yikes Chris, sorry to hear about the rust. I picked up some propoxy20, krud kutter must for rust and rustoleum rust reformer last night. Going to attempt a quick fix on my strut tower.

Signed up for another auto-x. Will be my 3rd this year! Crazy considering I haven't run in 4 years. 2nd one with the MSM. Hoping to borrow a set of better tires for it, or getting my hands on a set of 15" wheels to mount these new/used tires I just bought on to them.

Nice Mark, hope it was a great trip.
Went to Oakville ON yesterday. Left about 5am and it took about 4 hours. Saw some nice cars, V8 NB, some RHD miatas and others. Got home about 6pm. Got 35mpg doing 75 with the top up on the way down. Took my time coming back doing 55-60 on back roads and got 34mpg.

mornin, yes, it was great...111 on thurs! went up the tram in palm springs 8500 ft, 75!
hadn't drove the msm all week, had to go for a ride sun morn so i made up and excuse to go "pick up a few things"....it was a beautiful morning for a top down ride to no where!
the only autox i've done this summa is the lrp one in early aug. i hope to get out to a few remaining renegade ones this and next month...
not feelin real good about summer ending...love fall, but i know whats coming and i hate it so...anyway, i've got a good 2 months of miata weather left (i hope)...looking forward to what looks like the last LRP event...sad...oh well, more road trips next yr!
our new house apartment is coming along...pic later this am. should start wiring next month...could be in early /mid jan...i have to sign up for either month to month or a 3 month min in our current apartment...need to decide end of next month

Sorry Chris, I do like the 2nd gen MS3 wheels but the 3rd gen hatch design just doesn't do it for me. Have him photoshop them on a sedan, then you're talking.
I'm taking Friday off, haven't decided on when I'm leaving the house yet though.

Hey everyone, I hope all is well. NEM6 continues to grow and we're already thinking about our next big event! - But No details to be released yet.
I wanted to toss this your way since you guys have lots of friends/family with Mazdas so eventually this will get passed around a bit. The new NB1 TomTom system built into the latest models is good, but it has plenty of problems that really need to be addressed by Mazda. If you have been reading anything they're basically impossible to use with iPhones/iPods/Androids that have more than a thousand or so songs.
Among other problems we've listed, a local 6Club member has started a petition with my approval and he's asking everyone to sign it so Mazda takes a look into this problem.

Steve, just signed the petition as well. While I don't have a 2014 6 or CX-5, I have been disappointed with the stock head unit in my wife's 2010 3. My biggest gripe is on your list 'Bluetooth audio connection time'. After starting the car it takes a good 30 seconds of 'searching' before it will recognize my iPod which has already been linked to the car. On the flipside the JVC head unit in my P5 recognizes it within 5 seconds.
Met up with RedGT earlier this evening for a manual driving lesson. He brought an older Accord wagon to start me out in. Didn't stall it once so I'm proud of that! lol Will def. take some more practice to put what I learned tonight to use but was fun to finally get behind the wheel and apply it. After about 30 minutes, he drove to his house and swapped it for his 90 NA. Back at the high school we switched seats and I practiced in that for a bit. Was my first time in an NA and have to say that I was happy with how it felt. Now I've really got the itch to add one to the stable.

I think the auto manufacturers are being a bit aggressive with adding technology and not thoroughly testing it. My wife has all kinds of problems with her Ford Focus. It only likes certain iPods and sometimes refuses to index it or takes 10 minutes to do so (direct connection, not even bluetooth). The bluetooth phone support works...sometimes. When it doesn't want to work it starts telling her 911 support is disabled and the only way to remove the warning is to stop the car and dig several layers deep into the menu system.
So it doesn't surprise me that Mazda is having similar growing pains with their technology features. I signed the petition though, since I could be in the market for a CX-5 in the near future.
