The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

just bought these sunglasses, they will work PERFECT for at my buddies wedding LOL, in the wedding party, outdoor reception and the wedding colors are purple/gold haha

Are they Chive sunglasses? How much did you get gouged for those? lulz. It seems like Chive is really whoring itself out for merch, no?

they actually arent really associated with the chive whatsoever... granted i believe chivers may started the company and do sell them BUT they arent actual "Chive" merch and since they arent actual "chive" merch, you dont get gouged, i paid less than 25 shipped, figured they were perfect for the wedding and were cheap enough that if i beat them up im not upset

given the tux, custom made sneakers (all groomsman and groom are wearing) the hotel, bachelor party, and gift etc etc, these have been the cheapest expense of this wedding for me LOL

*PLUS i've already been told by the groom we are all getting very intoxicated at the wedding and having a cheap pair of sunglasses is easier than worrying about my expensive Oakleys haha

Car shows are the only thing most of those cars can do. Just sit there and get looked at (made fun of) and then drive slowly home. What a waste of money. I love the high horse power stanced "show" cars... Like whats the point of wasting money on go fast parts

I never understood the whole stance thing. Looks stupid in most cases

Me either. The whole tire being stretched so much it's barley on and the lip of the rim and it sticks out or that you have so much camber your car looks like a broke hot wheels. not my thing. looks cheap to me.

Stanced movement!
I always point out the bad stanced cars when i see them. I love the ones with the similar-to-stock wheel size pushed way out with spacers and the way-too-wide wheel with the stock sized tire failing to cover the whole wheel. And of course the camber...
...i lol'd at this one:

Sandy Myers started her 2004 Infiniti G35 project car as a birthday present from her husband
...
...
Turbo chargers and superchargers are a dime a dozen, so she chose a motor swap... but not just any motor! Sandy chose the Hemi because the LS swaps were too common and have been done before, along with the 5.6L Titan motor. She talked to her husband and a few close friends, and as a result, they made things happen! Time was running out with the Carlisle Performance and Style show quickly coming up.

Some guy in high school got one of those G35's from his parents... minus, of course the big engine. He'd get out of class early, park it where people go to pick up their kids, and wait there to pick up his friends. He graduated a year (or two... because two would be funnier) or so before people in my class but he'd still come park his car in the line up and pick up whoever he was still coming to high school to pick up. My friends would talk about his car, but i never heard anyone talk about him *except for when we'd make fun of him for being a big douche who shows off his car by waiting alone in front of a high school.
I don't like infiniti -_-

I've given up caring about other people's cars. It's much easier that way, since most of them are half-assed.

Anyone going to watch TransAm at mid Ohio in a couple weeks; NASCAR also woot! Got my double beer drinking hat thingy all ready.

I've talked about going with a friend but not sure yet

I had planned to go for the NASCAR race, but I believe it falls on the same weekend as a trip.

Is the NASCAR race going to televised? I want to make sure I watch it for the lulz. Don't forget Grand-Am is at Indy tomorrow! Not that I'm going, but it's televised.

This year has been such a ******* roller coaster... things took a real s*** a few weeks ago, but I've been getting some good news lately. I can finally say I'm no longer pressed to sell the cars, but it would still help. MSP will be for sale a while longer if someone is interested, if it doesn't sell then I have plans to make it streetable so I can enjoy it more. There are other things in the works, we'll see what the future holds.
