EGR Pipe Delete

The threads on my erg pipe and intake manifold are jacked. If I delete the erg pipe and keep the egr valve will it still throw a cel? And I could prolly repair the threads if I knew the size of the nipple on the manifold, I know it's a 1.5 thread but I need the nipple size!( 18m?)

if you're talking about the studs that the egr pipe threads onto on both manifolds, you can get new ones from mazda for like 5 bucks each

I called Mazda and they were clueless.

My 2002 manifold doesn't have that nipple I think I have a 2000 or 2001 in the garage without that nipple also. Maybe it screws out.

I have had my egr pipe removed and the egr still pluggef in for a couple years, never got a check engine light. I had air filter on the egr so that I had something on it for a while.

Do they sell a filter for it or did you piece together our own. I am going to a honda dealership in the morning to see if they can die the stud and tap the egr pipe. If not I will probably try to plug it off.

I capped the egr valve and thats when I got a code. If you look at my for sale thread for my turbo kit you can see the small air filter I used.
