If it was confirmed 100% that we would have a Diesel in the U.S. in 2014 I would be very tempted to drive the car I have until that time. Though I think I will be happy with the 2.5L G engine.

Nuts! I was looking forward to the diesel. Is it a definite NO for the 2014 model year?

At this point it's probably safe to say that we won't be seeing the diesel in the CX-5 this year, since it's being rolled out in the 6, and even then not until sometime around September. However, I don't believe there's been any official word recently about any plans thereafter.

As someone pointed out, the article is a year old. And to some degree it is correct, but there is too much speculation going in it. The diesel, I believe, is available as a racing engine and will be available in the 6. It was just speculation that it would be available in the CX-5.
