MazdaSpeed Protege fuel injectors

So im totally the first one to even think about this but... you need some way to tune the car if you add bigger injectors. If the car is completely stock hell it would probably run better with 265cc injectors, the stock tune is very rich.

No, the stock tune is good except under load.

if you ran smaller injectors, the car would run very lean for 99% of driving and burn in

No you're not. This has been beaten to death. A search should help you out.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Are you trying to get the car back on the road? Are your stock injectors bad or something?

He was asking if running a slightly smaller injector on an otherwise stock MSP would make the car have a more lean mixture under load.

i dont wanna have it tuned if all im using the car for is to get to school and work. they want like 230 bucks for 2 stock injectors from my work

hit up a local junkyard and see if they have any 3rd gen proteges and just snag the injectors off of them. 2 green and 2 purple. Ive snagged some from the junkyard. I may actually have some laying around, but they would need new seals and o rings

just realized the junkyard suggestion was already said. That's your best bet

alright cool thanks. so any injectors from a 99 to 2003 protege with the 2.0 will work. dealer wants 200 an injector haha

Show the mazda 626's some love when you get to the junkyard. They have injectors as well.

I was being sarcastic.

Im pretty sure the ecu would be able to adjust based on the o2 sensor readings when in closed loop. The stock ecu can handle 440s in closed loop so I dont see why it couldnt handle slightly smaller injectors. Either way if your car is 100% stock why would you even bother changing the injectors?

stock injectors are bad. i just want it back on the road.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think the injectors are bad?
