no sir not yet. By the way are the studs for the mani 8mm by 1.25 ive had an exhaust leak for along time and if the mani is coming out im re tapping and putting a big sert in there..

Looks good. Hope this works out well for you. Is the center divider bolted on or is it cast as all one piece?
Every time you post a picture, I get more interested. lol.

That'd be awesome for all those people who don't have a downpipe option anymore... I'm lucky I got a Pope, but I think I'll probably pick up another MSP at some point in the next couple of years and it'll be harder to find parts then.

The studs are M8x1.25. I should know. My engine managed to spit out one of my ARP studs and I had to buy a single stud and nut at some absurd price. After shipping it was over $20. For some reason, I decided I couldn't live with just one stock bolt in its place.

i understand i stripped my bolts out trying to keep that from happening. You know when you tell yourself one more turn wont hurt well it does..lol thanks for the reply.

Well to be perfectly honest, when I lost the one stud, I put loc-tite on the stock bolt. So when I removed it to put in the replacement ARP stud, the stud simply would not go in.
I eventually stripped a good portion of the threads in the block. I then had to buy a tap and clean it up, and I just kept trying to work out the loctite with a combination of cleaners and such. Took a long while, but eventually got the stud completely seated. I've always been worried it would come back out and I'd have to learn how to use a helicoil, but it's held for almost a year now, which is longer than they've ever all stayed tight before. I still hear a faint exhaust leak "tick" right at startup every now and then, but it's definitely not the manifold anymore. I've tried getting my wife to quickly blip the throttle while I hunt for it, but she's not too good at the blipping part and the leak was gone before I could find it.

If I do hear it, it is always gone within a few seconds of driving, so I probably shouldn't even let it bother me. I did do a thorough inspection under the car, and after staring the downpipe and exhaust down for 30 minutes or so, it didn't make a peep for at almost three weeks. So apparently, it can be threatened away by staring at it.

One of a few reasons why your Edelbrock experiment interests me.

i don't really like how small the wastegate re-entry port is. i like something like the ghl better it has a smoother transition .

Have you considered trying stage 8 bolts? A bit pricey ( $20 for 4) but you will never have to worry about them coming loose, I got tired of pulling my down pipe off every 2 weeks to tighten the turbo nuts, after 2 weeks no issues at all

They make them in nuts and bolts if you want to go away from studs, and the do have 8mmx1.25

Yeah, chiqles, just go to GHLs website and order one of their downpipes! Oh wait... Ryan, have you sold or traded the MSP yet?

i have to be honest that ghl looks terrible to me...the edelbrock may have not been proven yet for our cars fit but i understand the design. They where going for port match on the wastegate and a low pressure zone for the turbine. Or at least thats how i see it. That GHL looks Like two pipes that fit the flange welded on to a divorce section of exhaust. I Bet it works but not for me plus you cant beat $90 bucks for a cast iron piece that has a name brand on it..

Well that $90 was an Ebay deal. The lowest price I've found online is $170. The GHL does look like an inferior design and also is not cast iron.

theres more then one, he reposted another one on there and it looks like Iam going to be ordering my flex pipe and flanges as well so im trying to keep my cost down and only have to pay the guy to weld the pieces together. so sweet for me..

I really hope this works out.

im not worried just need to order a flex pipe and a flange. I just went underneath the car and I have to give pope props for his work there is no room down there. Im lucky this thing is angled foward i think the only issue maybe is my radiator hose but not really worried.
