I'm getting bored with the quite bpv and switching out to a bov, my question is what do you use and is spending the extra money on a name brand worth it when I have an eBay laying around that needs a new diaphragm ($3). Will it be able to handle 16-20 psi?

If I didn't have to weld the flange in my stock tube I would have already done it but I can't go back once it's done.

i'm running a turbo XS BOV....but there isn't much stock about my car other than apperiance...It is nice and loud, but not annoying loud....I have a manual boost controler and have ran 24psi (it was a short time) but the BOV held up just fine

I should add it's a type H so it's a hybrid.....I have it set to where if i'm not building much boost it has the "turkey" of a BPV but once I build over 3-4 PSI it's vented to atmosphere....I'm happy with it IMO it sounds good...and it's adjustable so you can get what you want out of it

I'm running a TurboXS Type-H pictured below...it is NOT a hybrid, is soley VTA. Very happy with it and the price is right on ebay.

RFL translates to Really ******* Loud....like obnoxiously loud lol The Type-h has a loud enough sound and sounds good...

I know, I personally like the loud ones but I live around a lot of old people and don't wana give the a heart attack.

yea i agree with evilmonkey. im running dual setup with the stock BPV and the turbo XS type H and it sounds awesome. no stalling issues either.

I can fix my stalling issue.

I ordered a pipe with a flange so I can test out the eBay bov without messing up my stock one. If it don't work out guess ill be buying a real one. After seeing videos on you tube I will not be getting the rfl lol. It might be on for a week or so but after that no.

One thing I can't have is any type of surge/turkey/ flutter/ whatever else you want to call it due to my turbo being a journal bearing, and with a Pre turbo exhaust leak I build 5 psi by 2750 at half throttle

I have an rfl and have had no problems with it and as listed above it is Really F****** Loud.. Lol however I don't have anything to compare it to because it's the only VTA I have ever used. My car is pretty much stock aside from an upgraded intake, exhaust, front mount, hard pipes, and motor mounts. With that being said, it has worked great for me and seems to be an awesome quality valve, I doubt you'd be disapointed using any of turboXs valves.

just relocate your maf and run it VTA. thats how mine is.

This is for my 323 I can't relocate my vaf but the only thing it does on these is shoot a flame out every once in awhile due to it runing rich for a second or 2, which is fine by me cause it will keep people from riding my ass which is common in my area. And when I get my haltec in a few weeks itl be fixed, if it does idle low I can push my ac button and it will bring it up to normal ( I don't have ac anymore)

I've heard they're prone to leaking. Haven't noticed any issues in a year of owning mine. Hope it stays that way

I just grease up the piston every couple weeks with some lithium grease. Helps with the vac leak big time
