This, pretty much. Waving was a pretty common thing when I owned a Subaru, but other Mazda2's don't even give you the time of day.

i live in a place where ive only ever seen 2 other people driving mazda 2's in the passed month and a half. i drove up next to this asian lady in a blue one and we were sitting at a light and i looked over at her and gave her 2 thumbs up and said nice car! and she looked really scared. likei wasnt flipping her off... i had a big smile on my face and 2 thumbs up. PRETTY SURE THUMBS UP = AWESOME EVEN IN ASIAN.... maybe im wrong though.

When driving my miata I used to get waves all the time from other mazda drivers, not just miatas. Usually rx-7's and rx-8's. Now, with the 2....I get nuthin'.

And yes...lots of waves, etc when I was driving the wrx, but practically none with the foresters.

19 hr road trip from toledo to disneyworld yielded 3 mazda2's I passed...including oncoming. Green\Red\ and a blueish color one. That's not many. ;-(

Hopefully it helps resale value though.

I had an LGT, but it was probably the hoodscoop that caught all the waves. After all, non-turbo Legacies are only driven by Old Women or Lesbians. Or both.

They are just jealous that they can't hang with the 2 on the skid pad (second)

You'd certainly think the hoodscoop would help, but my '00 forester had JDM hood, grill, and fenders from the turbo version (since mine had an EJ20T swap and utilized the stock TMIC) and still nothing.

I find the forester/lesbian thing funny though. Not sure how these things get started.

I tried that, only problem is most of the 2 drivers I see are middle-aged females. All of which seem to look the other way, resulting in me pretending like I was waving at someone else....heh. I'm kind of awkward.

Yea.. i have noticed that there isn't really an abundance of cute young female 2 drivers. Mostly middle-older aged men and women in base GX models...
