Amish Country Fun Run - Sat October 27

Ok so I've mentioned this to the group that hung out at Menchie's yesterday and I wanted to post it up and see what everyone thinks. I've made this route using suggestions from www.motor cycleroads.us and the version in the link is the longest of them all, apprixamtely 125 miles and 3 hours to complete. Of course, we don't have to run the full route. Major SR such as SR-43, SR-800, SR-39 and SR-212 can help us cut the trip in half or more if people are not interested in doing the full route.

SR-248 and SR-646 are awesome fun and could be considered the Tail of the Dragon of Northern Ohio. SR-248 is especially fun as it's full of twisties and fast corners.

Here's the link to the full route:

UPDATE

Weather permitting, we will be meeting at the following address at 11:00am.

4676 Erie Avenue Southwest
Navarre, OH 44662

It is a shopping center - type parking lot, easily visible from the main road. We will go onto the route from there.

I recommend bringing 2-way radios, and I'll have a spare if anyone needs one.

If the weather forecast gets worse or doesn't change, I'll update the post again.

Sorry for the delay folks.

UPDATE 2

According to weather reports, we will be hit with leftovers of Hurricane Sandy, the chance of rain on Saturday went up to 70%.

THE EVENT IS CANCELLED. Sorry guys

FEEL FREE TO USE THE MAP IF YOU WISH FOR YOUR OWN FUN RIDES!

Im down V!! I love that ride by Tappan Lake! Not sure on what day works best for me though.

Ivan and I were just talking about this yesterday. I'm down with riding along with Ivan or one of you Speed3 cats. :)

No love for the MSP Evan? I see how it is. I'm interested too, depending on the date becasue of school and work.

That looks fun. Just watch out for state highway patrol down there. I have been doing a lot of work around Millersburg, and the cops are all over the place. Its a fun drive out there every time though, even though I'm rocking a truck.

I think that as curvy as those roads are that we would be lucky to break the speed limit most of the time.

I'm sure the MSP can put that to the test :) It's all in the hips.

Right after I posted that I said to myself, "self, you should have mentioned that your P5 would be lucky to break the speed limit on those roads".

That was crazy, but they are out looking for bigger fish to fry. My friend doesn't live in the greatest place in Toledo. It's not the worst, but there are better places to be. I was going 65 down that same road last spring when he was in the car and 2 cops both went past me the oposite direction and didn't even tap their brakes. I was super lucky too and was pulling into that same gas station.

Lolz, that fast on those "awesome" roads?

I didn't have 600lb spring AWR coilovers then. I'm luckey to do 40 without getting airborn.

Shoot, I'll ride shotgun with anyone, MSP's included. I just saw it was mostly Speed3's that were signed up already. ;)
