Mazda CX-5 GT AWD
Hiya!

New here as I have just today collected my lovely Zeal Red CX-5 GT (lick)

The CX-5 was the winner in the research department after reading and reading and reading. Test drive confirmed it was the car for me.

Was going to get the Silver with black leather but none are available until November! So we decided on the Zeal Red with sand leather, in real life it looks far nicer then I ever imagined.

Traded in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for this little number (headbang)

Anyway here he is...

Very nice Zeal-girl! Congrats on your new ride. Red is a nice color for this car. Rare color too as I have yet to see one around town.

Waylonrobert - to be honest not as 'grunty' as the Jeep but hey I have gone from 6 to 4 cylinders! It is far smoother though and the best word to describe it is more zippy. I just do not need a car as big and bulky as the Jeep. It feels far more lively too, a fun ride.

Rmac - thank you, I am thrilled to pieces and hope my new relationship with Mazda is good ;) I do love this red as it suits the shape and is not as 'red' as say more deeper blue reds.

So far my only issue is how do I get the i-stop working? When I press the button the word i-stop comes on in amber but does not turn green??

If you press the button and the i-stop is amber on your dash then you've turned it off! If there is no i-stop on the dash then it is turned on and should work automatically when you are stopped and out of gear (providing the engine is warmed up, it doesnt work when cold!)

+1. Amber=off, not immuniated=on, green=the engine has been i-stopped!!

Hey there Aussie Girl, you bought yourself a great ride.
The Zeal red and the blue colors are looking overseas diffrent ( much nicer ) then in our mostly cold Holland.
I bought the metallic white CX-5, its my fifth Mazda ! you won't regret it.
Looked up where Mornington is in Australia, see you driving along Esplanade !
Seems like a nice road for a spin along the coastline.

Is yours the diesel or petrol?

Just picked up its twin today on the other side of the world...also zeal GT AWD. Love it! Enjoy!

WNJ & Pauly69 - last night when the car had done 300 km on the dot, the i-stop turned green and is now working so i am not sure if there is some delay. Now when I turn i-stop off it turns amber. So happy now.

Wheelie - I have already had a couple of nice coast drives with the sunroof back.

Katmar - mine is the petrol. Mazda seem to be having some issues with the diesel model here, it was reported in the press.

Kardut - Go the Zeal GT's!!!!!!

(drive)

The one thing I wish mine had is a sunroof... but unfortunately sunroofs are not an option/available on any CX-5 model in the UK! :'(

Automatic engine shut-off when you take the car out of gear.

That feature, along with city brake is only available with the Diesel engine, which is not available in the US & Canada. I'm not sure why Mazda decided to leave that feature off the Gas (Petrol) engine. Sounds like it would be a great fuel saving measure!
