injen and check engine light

I just installed the injen CAI and everything was going great until about 30-40 min into my ride and the check engine light came on, now my neighbor has the ability to do obd and obd2's but hes gone this weekend and im not paying someone to give me the diagnostic or do you think I should just get it checked or do you think its harmless?? Has this happend to anyone?

Have you tried unplugging the battery at all and checking if it still comes on, you may want to leave the battery disconected for a few minutes.

SIMPLE FIX DUDE...

step 1. disconnect the negative terminal on the battery
2. push on brake pedal...
3. drink ONE beer.
4. hook back up, bye-bye cel, hello INJEN!(silly)

yep...do the above and the chances that your CEL will go away and never come back are VERY VERY likely.....you see...if you didn't do this when you installed your intake....the onboard computer saw some DIFFERENT readings it was gathering AFTER you started your car and started driving around....it ASSUMES there is something wrong....

if you reset your ecu....then start up the car and allow it to idle for about 10 minutes....then it relearns all the air fuel mixtures and the readings that are being sent to it from all the sensors and THEN everything is cool.

thanks

Thanks for your replies guy. everything is cool now, I'm not sure if anyone knew this but your check engine light will also turn off after about 30 on/offs of the ignition of 200 mile which ever comes first. :D

What if you disconnect the battery

And then Insatlled the battery then 2 days latter it comes on any ideas?
