The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Thanks for the offer where do you guys usually setup, I will be there sat-sun. as well.

None of us go on Friday so we usually wind up in the grass in the upper paddock. Our usual spot is just above and a little left of the teen driving school lot.

Holy s*** on that vid. I had to watch it 4-5 times. He almost took the head right off the deer and had a passanger for the last second of his journey. That would suck.
Thoughts going through his head:
1. Thanks guy for getting over and letting me fly bye
2. "Fly like a eagle to the sea, fly like a eagle...
3. Holy S&#$...
4. After I clean my pants I know what I'm having for lunch :)

lol my daughter just saw the video and was laughing and said it was goofy that the window exploded. Then she saw the slow motion and was still laughing and then asked if the deer was dead. I wanted to tell her that the deer was ok and walked away unhurt, but I told her that is how deer meat is made.

Anyone have some cheap 16" 4x100 wheels for sale? I'm going to transfer the Hankooks over to those wheels and use them for autoX while the msp is down.

Ask Phen to sell you his 5Zigens. Though one of them is banged up pretty good...

...that video is why you should wear a full face helmet!!! yikes!

He did... he just didn't have the face-shield down. No idea if he had any other eye-protection on underneath (even just sunglasses), but if he didn't, that was mistake #1. But yeah, how unlucky was that?

I think Kevin was pointing out that fact, man. And how many of you cats actually have your visor down at the track?

My claustrophobia does not like full faced helmets. Also I like that I can look at the guages and things with my eyes and not have to move my head. But ya I agree.

if anyone is around and interested ...

Today is going to be rough. I passed out watching Top Gear around 9om last night. Woke up at midnight wide awake. Played "Left 4 Dead 2" (zombie shoot-em up game) until about 4am and finally fell asleep about 5:30. I feel drunk.

How do you guys with babies deal with the sleep deprivation? My hat's off to you, good sirs.

Visor up for me. If I keep it down, I can barely hear my engine! Damn thing is too quiet inside and the other loud cars don't help lol. Maybe I should start racing with it down and do something about my exhaust.

I take my visor completely off during autocrosses.

On the track I drive with it partly down or completely down if it's not a million degrees. At Watkins Glen a piece of balled up rubber came in my window and through my open visor and hit me right in the face, narrowly missing my eye (was not wearing sunglasses). Obviously this was a freak thing but it would've made for a very bad day and even though it just hit me in the cheek it still hurt like hell and I had a ridiculous red mark the rest of the weekend.

your body will adjust to the amount of sleep it gets. When I worked thirds I averaged about 5-6 hours per day...and I did that for 5.5 years without too many problems. I actually sleep more now, but I typically feel more tired.
