License plate front cover

Anyone know where to find the plastic piece that covers up there the license plate is meant to go on the front of the 2?

If it helps the piece i am talking about is the black piece in the center of the grill, it goes in front of the license plate holes

Easiest solution is to get one from your local Mazda dealer. Your 2 should have came with one, but there have been instances that dealer's forget to give them to the customer after the purchase is completed. As I work for a dealer, (not a Mazda one) I can say that it is staggering how often things are forgotten to be given to customers.

My 2 came with it. It was in the trunk when I bought it. I guess it's not like that for everyone?

I purchased mine in MD, but live in WV so I don't need a front tag, but the dealer didn't leave the cover in the car. I just called the salesperson and she ordered one for me, for free of course.

You could alternatively check your trunk. I found mine where my spare tire is. Mind you, they also alerted me as to where it was when I picked the car up.

thats where mine was as well, and as you mentioned they told me as well about it being there . and to OP i wouldnt think they would charge you for that piece Good luck

Ha! My had two -- one installed on the bumper, one spare in the trunk

The parts guy at my dealer wanted to charge me 50 dollars and gave me a verbal slap on the wrist for considering driving around without a front plate on. (It's illegal in Texas)

I'd still like to get it eventually, but uhhh.. not really on my priority list to go bark down MazdaUSA and send hate mail and eventually make a worse relationship with the parts guy at my local dealership since at some point I'm going to start wrenching on this thing heavily.

Might just be time to go look for another dealership, though...

I had to remind my sales guy when they did the dealer transfer for my 2 that I wanted that cover. It was just loose in the hatch area when I picked up the car.

I'd tell em to kiss my @ss and give me one for free, cause that is PART OF THE CAR. Essentially hurting resale value etc.
