Need brakes, suggestions? (and what I was quoted)

Hi,

I need a brake job done on my MSP. I was quoted 570 for new rotors and pads.

I don't know much about cars, so doing it myself isn't going to happen. If I buy the parts myself, I have a guy who can install them for me.

Any suggestions on what breaks/rotors to buy?

Thanks for the advice, looking into it... any ideas on parts in Canada? Looks like I might not be able to have the stuff shipped here, at least not for a decent price

They don't ship to Canada

you should still be able to get the parts in canada. check around for centric e-coated rotors - blank, not drilled or slotted. same with hawk pads.

Anyone familiar with "APEXLIMIT" stuff? I'm leery buying this kind of thing from ebay, but I could get all rotors and pads for 175 delivered... hell of a deal if it isn't junk

make that ProShure rotors and pads, APEXLIMIT seems to be the distributor

For brake pads I would go with EBC or Hawk. Wagner, Bendix, Centric and some others are good as well.
