GI: Replacement exhaust manifold

I got the prototype loosely tacked and am going to stare at it for a couple days before making any final decisions. Runners 1, 2, and 3 are all similar in length, but 4 is quite a bit shorter so I want to try addressing that. I'm also a little annoyed that there isn't room to run an EWG exit off the collector, it will have to come off the number 1 runner unless I can come up with an alternative. Ultimately I'm really happy with it - it will flow great and I can sell them for a more reasonable price than what has been offered in the past.

Oh, before anyone asks... No, the amazing green carpet is NOT for sale :) I have no idea what the previous owner of the house was thinking. We keep hoping it will wear out, but this stuff is tough. On to the pics:

How would that affect the boost if its only off of one cylinder?

Edit: Where do you plan on puttign the 02 sensor at?

For the vast majority of setups nobody would notice the difference. I'm working on a solution that will vent the wastegate properly, there just isn't much space available.

The O2 sensor will most likely be in the front just like it is on the stock setup. I also have to place the EGR tube. Space is at a premium, but it'll all work.

What about looping the runner for 4 next to the runner for 3 and then bringing it back underneath itself? Not sure if that will add too much length though.
Looking good! :)

Looks really good Tom. How much would I be looking at for just the bare minimum, no ewg, no egr, no o2?

Now that I know what I'm up against in materials and time I can set final pricing. A base manifold will be $475 shipped.

good to know. also, maybe I missed this, is this going to be a direct replacement? I don't care if it is, or not. actually if it's not, that's fine with me.

This won't necessarily be a "stock replacement" as you can delete egr or add ewg, but it will position the turbo in the stock location.

To get it looped out and then back in it would be a lot longer than all the others and looks totally out of place. I had it mocked up that way, but really didn't care for it. I'm trying to find the middle and may have figured it out last night while I was falling asleep.

I will need ewg, no egr, and I will need o2 sadly.

I'll have them on the site within a week or so.

I hope you made a note of it because I always forget those ideas if I dont write them down before i crash

Design is interesting only thing i would of liked would of been a slightly bigger collector for proper ewg placement. Other then that it looks boss like a mini thumper with a stock flange.

Id buy that upon seeing A Shiney one. I just want a stock replacement. Stock egr,o2 and no ext waste gate. Though if the ewg is gonna be a stock feature, a block off option cause i had thought of ewg when i rebuild but might go t3 for that.
Would it be vband or flanged?

Stainless would be nice but it dulls... Mild steel with a coating would be awesome if it brings the price down.

I'll probably have it jet hot coated or wrap it. I left the stock heatshield off for a quick 10 minute drive and my hot pipe was too hot to touch and I could hear the coolant in the upper radiator hose boiling.
