CR3 Motorsports can always hook you up with an aftermarket BBK if you really feel the need to upgrade brakes..

big brake kits usually just add rotational mass to a car. I would recommend stock rotors and a good set of race pads also adding brake cooling ducts to keep the rotors cooler there by negating the need for the big rotors to dissipate the heat. If you go with a speed3 brake upgrade you will probablly need to put at least a 17" wheel on the car adding even more mass.

I wouldn't spend the $$$ on a big brake kit. It seems like a lot of cars have them just for looks anyway. I figured since I would upgrade the rotors I would upgrade the size and calipers as well. Maybe even swapping some 2-piston calipers from a Millenia on there? But of course, this is purely for function. So if bigger rotors aren't necessary then more money to put towards other aspects of the car.

Marc, both my sets of wheels are 17" so I'm sure I can fit all the Mazda OEM calipers and rotors.

All advice is greatly appreciated and welcomed! :)

i have the speed 6 front and rear calipers. the only thing i'm hassling with is the ebrake cable. we'll see what i end up doing with it.. for now, not sure. I know Ksport has an ebrake that's hydro... which would prolly be better, and you can get a prop valve for it. i need to take all that stock s*** out because my car had drums before. now all disc.. i'm probably going to be making a brake tuck kit.. we'll see if there's interest elsewhere.

Damian, the Speed6 calipers are a direct bolt in affair, correct? No washers or extra brackets are necessary? I've heard about the e-brake cable not fitting and don't think anyone has come up with a solution yet.

Oh- and in other news I'm buying a completely rebuilt G-series transmission from a fellow on ProbeTalk. The trans is the weak part of the KL swap so I'm pretty excited to come across this. The only problem is it's in Wisconsin... Oh, wait! Kevin is from Wisconsin!

-"Kevin, will you pick up this trans next time you go home?"
-"Sure!"

It's good to have friends. :)

My GF saw the pics and said "I don't know... that looks like it's plastic. Are you sure it's real?". She's cute.

Dont assume.

Sorry...the only thing I was assuming, is that everyone understood that I was talking about a GUY running pink wheels, but maybe I was unclear on that point.

Girls are perfectly fine, because they genuinely like the color pink. NO self respecting guy out there likes the color pink...they just put it on their car or wear pink shirts to be attention ******.

there was a guy that ran the speed6 brake cable to solve that issue, can't find the post or thread it was in

It depends. I know of a Speed6 owner who has 17's and he has had to make a minor modification to the caliper to make the rims fit. Send a PM to Chyuler1 about what he had to do. It all may depend on rim selection, but it was a MS6 with 17's and stock MS6 brake setup.

Have you beaten this horse to death enough yet? We get it. You are a male who is against driving a car with pink rims. You are almost sounding homophobic about the pink rims on the car. It's like pink is a bad color that gives a no-no touch to you. Seriously.... I've driven the car with the rims and I have had no problems at all. Most people are completely cool with it and it actually strikes up a nice conversation about it.

Can we put this horse to death for the final time now? I don't like zombies and I am not prepared for them at the moment.

Indeed it is.

Well, apparently not because I keep getting provoked by responses like this! I've already responded to everything you just said though, so there's no need to repeat my answers. It's not my fault you can't read.

Coincidentally though, I was thinking after that last post that I've said my peace on the topic. Back to your regularly scheduled thread about a car the guy doesn't have yet!

dude, if you're going to be a troll, move on. there's no need to be an ass to people. we don't need people like that on this forum.

they bolt on just fine. I'm more concerned really with just the e brake. which, a viable option is the hydro conversion. but we'll see. if i come up with something I'll definitely let everyone know.

But it was OK for him to be an ass to me his comments??

Evan's a friend of mine...he's probably been laughing this whole time reading my comments. He knows how I am. :)

Evan, I have some thoughts concerning your brake discussion, but I'll talk to you about them later because as I know well from your other build thread, any thing I say, no matter how logical it may be, will be refuted by someone saying that you need to buy some big fancy thing. Remind me tomorrow as I won't be home till late tonight.

Oh, and all of you knock it the hell off. So much god damn pointless bickering on the forum lately.

swap the rear calipers right for left and the cable fits fine.. worst case ask MP5T as he has his rear rakes setup with cable before going with all the Ksport stuff

Yeah, Josh is a friend of mine and he comes off the wrong way on the forums. Just like Phen does for me. haha. But you're all my friends here and we should all get along. The point of my build threads is to get info and research (maybe too much of it, granted) and discuss things in here with my friends. It like a Mazda meet where I get to ask questions about my car, instead of feeling like an attention *****. If you posts in here annoy anyone I do apologize then politely ask you to simply un-sub.

Hahaha yeah. It's always fun getting the question "Dude, why are you being a dick?" Then I tell you to just re-read what I typed as if I was saying it to you in person... it makes much more sense then.
