The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I say Josh, should buy it and do the Speed6 conversion to the wagon and then part the rest of the car out. Going to guess he'll still make a good chunk of money back and the conversion would end up a lot cheaper than if he sourced the parts himself...then again, he gets discounts...

That would be awesome!!

I thought I saw someone sourced all the Speed6 front end parts for a wagon, and it was between $2000-$2500 I believe. Seats are probably worth a pretty penny, or swap them into my car and sell my leather. Nothing else would matter to me much, I'd basically be doing aesthetic mods. I don't think I could make up the rest of the $6000 though. It wouldn't be a "take what I want, and still make money off it" situation. I would still be out a few grand....it'd be a sweet ride though!

I don't know, you have everything but the engine... hood front bumper, headlights, whole interior, everything mechanical for AWD

This is what I was thinking.

You don't think you'd be able to make it up? I've seen quite a few part out threads of Protege's on here where anything and everything is up for grabs. Was thinking you could sell random things off over time....only problem I guess would be...how long it could possibly take.

Exactly. With a baby 3 months away, I don't think I could have that much money tied up into a part out.

Maybe if it was $4000 or something. :D

YOU THERE! I must meet you now. I rode my CBR when it was in the teens/snowing. This was the week right before I got rid of it:

To keep somewhat on topic about that speed 6. I've wondered if it would be possible with a shortened driveshaft to stuff the MS6 engine/drivetrain in the 2. I'm thinking no due to the torsion beam :(

no topics required in random thread. hell, half the time it's usually better to get us off of what we are currently talking about.

Regarding swapping MS6 awd into anything, one of the biggest obstacles to jump across would be the tunnel for the drive shaft and center diff. That's the biggest reason that the Sport20 swap doesn't easily swap over to USDM BJ platforms. Possible? Sure. Anything is with enough time and money. However...

That car will decimate all after you put about 10 grand into it...

Mortgages, that is what I do.......all day everyday.....
As soon as they set me up in all the systems I'll be doing modifications and researching them mainly with other various job functions

I've wanted a bike for the longest time too but I've decided against it for the time being.

Decided to get out of bed after 36 hours to try and do some physical activity. Actually managed to keep some solid food down. Went out to the garage and loaded up the summer tires and wheels to go to the tire shop. Got light headed doing only that. Hoping that I'm back to 100% by tomorrow for work.

yay, it's supposed to be 64 degrees tomorrow! I love the Triumph Thruxton. Kinda looks like a cafe racer

On another note, I'm really debating going forward or going back to stock with the msp again. Odds are I will go forward cause I have so much time effort and money into it and there's no way I could ever get close to that much back, but I could also start a decent college fund as well. I feel like I'm really close, I have most if not all the parts need/wanted (still want a perrin fuel rail & go forged eventrually for reliability and new wheels) but may still lack enough time to finish it. The internal debate continues...

Are you still planning on selling the Camaro? That would be a good start to the college fund.
