The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

We should both be out to Mid Ohio this year (pending my sister not getting married on the same weekend again)

Yeah, my MSM insurance is cheaper than my Protege. It's like 90 a month for me or something like that with low deductibles.

My speed3 was actually cheaper than my 3 to insure by a few bucks. I'll never really understand insurance companies.

*sigh* I noticed last night that my hard drive with all my photos, music, movies, etc.. is not being recognized by windows. All my photos over the years are probably toast. *sadbanana*

So I put on my AWR deep sump oil pan on yesterday and it is very slooooowwwwlly leaking out of the drain plug. Should I just put some teflon tap around the plug or what?

Want me to take a look and see if it can be recovered?

do you have the copper washer for the plug?
Wow I'm a dumbass. I didn't realize that is what it was for and thought it belonged on the adapter for the sump block. Good thing I didn't put it on and was going to ask about that. Thanks Phen and Evan for the advice about the gasket too the other day.

pumpkin too a pic of me yesterday, spent most of the day cleaning the car inside, I found dog hair almost everywhere I looked... still has a faint dog smell inside. On the plus side, I "fixed" my power windows, my dumbass friend failed to notice the window lock button in 7 years of owning the car...

Still dirty outside, but very pleased with it. The owners manual I got with it is worth at least 1/3 of what I paid for it, gonna be a work in progress for the whole year, next winter it'll be ready

What's the mileage on it now? Talk to Jim Ellis, say you never got the notice and maybe they can work out a deal where you're only paying partial for it. It'll be a lot less painful than roasting a motor.

I got that letter in the mail for my MS3 about a month ago. I'm at 86k, luckily I don't have any problems.

I think it is at 77-78k It's not too far over, but I dunno. I will try and see what they can do. If not, I am looking at a 1100-1400 dollar fix.

Jim Ellis can suck a fat cock. They are just awful. Surprisingly, Rick Case is more willing to work with you.

hmmmm.... I will call up Rick Case to see what they can do too.

Don't know why I wrote Jim Ellis when Rick Case was the one I meant, up by Gwinnett Place. But yes, you're absolutely right.
