I am gutted, not sure ifit is he weather I am envious of or the fact you have fellow Cosmo owners to go out and cruise with

I am in a gang of one here(deadhorse

there is a few Cosmo's over here but not a one near me,, keep the posts and pics coming while we are in our winter gets us all motivated for our summer when we can get out an have some rotary fun

I know enthusiasts always like to pop their bonnets on these sort of runs but the public must get the impression Cosmo's brake down alot as they drive past. Nice collection for your run though.

I do know of some guys who as soon as they stop their cars especially when the weather is good pop their bonnets to cool the engine down as the temp does tend to increase after you switch off, we all must have heard electric fans kick in after somebody has parked up and walked away on other models of cars.
Having said that if the temp is in the normal zone it should not get that hot to worry you, however if it is rising then this would drfinately help.

Mind you when you have such a sweet polished engine bay it is always worth showing it off (boom06)

temps rise stupidly and u can sometimes hear the coolant boiling after shut down. I open the bonnet after shut down where ever possible.

Grants car, the white one, has two electric water pumps that run on a timed switch with two electric thermo fans for a few minutes after shut down!

Wish mine had it too!

Late to the party but man I'm glad I found this thread...Thanks so much for posting the pics here, Kram3r!

Got a few questions...

Does anyone know the details and specs on that super sweet big brake setup below (custom kit? adapted kit? cost? results?)?

I believe I've seen this EC before...Was the interior completely redone at some point? Looks so fresh and new! (2thumbs)

Hi Antoine, they are XYZ's to suit Cosmo. They make bolt on kits for front and back at 330mm, 6pot front and 4 pot rears AND....................... They are AWESOmE!

DMRH did a bulk buy in Aus before he exited the Cosmo world. I'm the only one who ordered rears as well. The rears are rare as the are designed to work off the OEM handbrake set up.
All of the guys who have upgraded just the fronts have experienced some Balance problems with some finding issues with the fronts locking up and being pretty twitchy. We all experienced problems with bleeding the system and the abs system not working or not working properly. Because I got the rears as well, when we all worked out the 20 pumps per bleed nut release to bleed properly, mine pull up perfectly straight, ABS works, and they are sooooooooooooo much better than stock!

Bit dusty but I highly recommend them!

Oh and you really need to get all specs from the web site and check ure wheels and offset on your existing wheels. Many of us including me, had to raid the piggy bank and buy new wheels to be able to fit the calipers in! They are biggggggggg suckers!

Taiwan or China I think. Oh and You can get the colour coordinated to your car too!

:)

Oh and Antoine, the yellow Cosmo is pretty good inside and well looked after by Chris Gauci of Sydney, but is original!

Thanks for the info, Kramer!

I'll keep those XYZs in mind...First order of business in the upgrade department is cooling...The heat and humidity is already kicking in (here in Japan).

As for interiors, didn't someone in Australia get their entire EC interior redone...I thought I read / saw that somewhere..? My interior is holding up well but my driver's seat is wearing on the side (door side). Oneday, I'd like to get it all redone...Alcantara would be nice!
