Emanage Blue Base Map

I found tons of maps for other cars but none for the MSP. I am determined to make this system work.

Make a map..

the PS1000 Haltech didn't have any maps when I bought it... I made one 100% scratch...

IMO, you should "Bin" that Greddy Piggy...

I See...

I know it is ironic for me.... a person who does everything from scratch.... telling a person to get an off the shelf solution that works without ass pain...

but I believe that I purposely cause myself technical issues (Breaking Trail) for the challenge...

The OP sounds like he wants a quick solution rather than a challenge... making my statement "Ditch it for something better" legit...

The majority of the Protege tuners.. use... Haltech E6X, or some other Haltech product, AFC, Megasquirt, Split Second and heavy into the MPI Tuner..

AEM EMS and Greddy (Apparently) work and have been made to work, but the knowledge base is sparse because it isn't a common EMS for the platform.

That emanage blue piggy is not very good. I had a friend try to use it on his boosted 02 civic, it was a nightmare! And that was a car that actually has good support from greddy.

Even if you get it to work on a stock boost level msp, as soon as you try to upgrade to big injectors and more boost you're gonna wish you bought a standalone.

I had that issue with the split second and went with haltech ps1000. So much more control and not to mention a beautiful windows based tuning software with huge support from haltech.

The problem with most piggybacks is that they modify the MAF signal to trick the computer into giving you the fuel you want. Modify it too far (more than 440s on low boost) the MAF voltage will be so low when you lower the fuel for idle, that the computer thinks its bad so throws a CEL and puts the car in run like garbage mode.

That's first hand experience. If you want anything more then don't bother with it.

You guys are right about the injectors. Im running a disco potatoe and need the extra fuel but for now I am gonna put the stock injectors back in and tune from scratch. I talked to greddy and the confirmed that you can run bigger injectors but when you lower maf voltages you also pull timing. The fix would be to lower the voltage and advance timing with the emanage but I am not to that point yet. I will figure this out and make it work the way I want it to only because I too have done everything from scratch.

IMO the stock injectors are poorly suited for larger boost volumes that the GT28 can make..

Is the E Manage capable of operating a single extra injector?

I emailed Tekkie and he sent me a few maps ( 3 total ). He also stated that these maps are roughly 7 years old and not even sure if the maps are any good. Almost forgot to mention that they are all for 440's.

I love my Split Second AFC, they have a great track record with MSPs, nobody seems to have problems with them once they are properly installed and setup. Not to mention unlike just about every other piggyback or standalone on the market this AFC was made specifically for the MSP.

Doesn't the SS AFC have a built in 02 clamp and thats why you tap it into the stock crappy 02 sensors? If so it really doesnt make it any better then the emanage because it requires a 02 clamp of sorts. Now I will say its been proven time and time over and we have a good map lisitings for it. The SS AFC loses its tune as well.

ok ok.
so i had the emanage blue on the MSP.
i never got the timing to work and it will always run like crap.

i gave it all up for the easyness of the AFC and never loked back.

emanage is a good platform but it is really hard to make it work on our cars. not that it is impossible or anything.
also, with emanage you MUST use a O2 clamp...that's why it sucks so much!

People have gotten it to work without issues. However it hasn't been well documented on how to set it up properly and what all is needed to get it to work with the MSP ecu's. Doesnt the SSAFC use a 02 clamp thats built into the unit itself?

i believe it does.

but yeah.
i'm not knocking anyone down for using emanage..i understand its capabilities and how cheap it is to purchase.
i just thing there are better things in the market.
ahve you looked at AEM's EMS?
