What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

No, I could of bought the metra universal controller, but I rarely listen to just radio. I really use more my phone to control my music, amazon cloud, Pandora & BBC player. It would make little sense for me.
Did you get the HU just for bluetooth audio streaming? If so, did you consider a bluetooth transmitter instead? Any smart phone with a good 3G/4G connection is all you need for mobile entertainment + a proper dock. I'd hate to lose the steering wheel controls (don't want to pay extra to make it work) and that the display screen become empty with aftermarket units.

I had this stereo from my previous car, Honda Fit, and that stock radio sucked. So I had this unit already, so no sense in not using it. It's really no big deal for me on losing steering wheel controls.

Also my tint is done....

basically did a smd interior light kit using

two 12 smd for the overhead lights in the front

one 48 smd for the rear lights

Installed an Ultra Gauge. I did have it installed on the blank dash buttons but it was too low and out of the way. I have it temporarily on the windshield mount until I figure out a permanent solution to have it integrated and inconspicuous to potential thieves, this unit looks like a tiny but nice GPS.

Haha, the car has about 11L left... well that's my guess. I haven't calibrated the Ultra Gauge yet but I know the low fuel light comes on when the gas tank has 13L remaining.

I was hoping to wait until Thursday when I drive out to the suburbs where gas is cheaper but I guess my wife drove quite a bit yesterday. I guess in the grand scheme of things, it's $61 for 50L of gas in the city vs. $57 in the suburbs, big whoop... lol. That extra $4 is basically gas tax for the local transportation authority, I suppose I should support them a bit more often than I do.

This unit is pretty sweet though. $78.95 and has a $9 rebate. It's made in China though and lacks a few features the Scangauge II has like 1/4 mile and 0-60 stats, but it's a better looking unit IMO... it checks and clears CEL lights too.

and then i scraped it backing out of my driveway.
I'll probably remove it before first snow.

Installed Parrot MKI9200 Bluetooth kit and added a layer of carpet padding to the rear wheel wells and spare tire tub. The bluetooth works awesome and ipod sounds great hooked up to it. The extra insulation to the trunk area made a huge difference in road noise. I think the worst place now is probably the firewall area which I will try to tackle next.

Got the same one on my 2010 MZ5. Had it for 6 months now. No problems with it. Even get better Sirius reception with my sirius antenna behind it.

I started the install of my Python 533 remote starter. So far so good, I got all the starter parts of it working and now its on to the Passenger side for the lights, locks and door triggers. Install post to follow!

I bought the BC Racing coilovers. I'm not planning on making a LOT of adjustments- just want everything easily accessible. I do know that out of the three- alignments, adding brake fluid, or messing with the battery- alignments are what happen to my cars the most.

Most of those kits are designed to fix the good alignment ruined by lowering the car. Unless you race it and actually know what the settings do, better to leave as close to stock specs as possible.
