what!? the mirrors fold in??? ...*sheepishly runs to fold them in to put less stress on the car cover*

um...no, i'm not...

a lot of vehicles have side mirrors that are fixed; i know the protege doesn't...

but at first glance the miata does look like it has fixed mirrors...they are nice and flush with the connecting piece so i assumed that they didn't fold, a completely logical reasoning...

mine isn't going to be driven for the next couple months anyway, so it doesn't really matter!

have you seen the manual for your car? it's the only manual I bother to read any more, even when most of the stuff is very basic. You can do that on most cars, don't know what the cut off for the year is

No, it's only when he's wearing one of his splendid chapeaus (like the panda hat) that he likes to look at himself.

so, I was thinking about going through the car wash since its too cold to wash her myself. Any ideas as to whats gonna happen? I'm taking 2 towels with me just in case...

You're going to get soaked thru the side windows. They don't seal too well toward the top.

i went through once...yeah, it kinda drips in... though i didn't get soaked, definitely bring a towel.

There is a good tutorial on M.net on how to fix this.

I've never taken a car through a car wash so I have no advice on that. :)

I got the blizzaks on last night, sidewalls are considerably stiffer and the left tire rubs a little under full lock. We'll see what happens on the next snow fall

Received my replacement harness yesterday, got the HIDs installed today and they worked once I switched two wires on the headlight connection. I then found out my catch can was completely full after only a few hundred miles, and my oil level was low. Not sure what's going on with that, the car isn't burning oil and the only thing that is different from before was my installation of the catch can.

I fiddled with the catch tank plumbing on my car before I got it to a reasonable situation. I wound up venting the old oil return port in addition to a port on the valve cover, that seemed to keep blow-by gases from pushing excess oil out through the valve cover vent.

you could also have issues with valve cover baffling.
