The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'll bet MotoMotion can fix the cracked wheel for you, but it would probably be the same price to just buy a new on. It was $150 to fix a bent lip on one of my Enkeis but they are $245 a piece. And thus why I don't run them on the road anymore. But like Will said, it would probably be better to just buy another wheel. At least they are still available! Poor Peaches is sitting on 3 wheels in great shape and can't find a 4th to replace the bent one. :(

Ya, good point, I'll probably just end up buying a new one. I think I can find it for around $150, which is not bad at all. I'll keep looking to see if I can find anything cheaper. I probably won't be using these wheels until spring anyway

Luckily they still sell it!

Also, I think having such a low profile tire is the main contributor to my rear shock going....well, if the roads didn't suck ass so much there wouldn't be an issue. I've recently developed some suspension rattling noises on both sides in the front. It only happens when I hit a bump. What's really weird, is that it seems to be louder when I hit a small bump or seam in the pavement. When I go over larger bumps, the noise isn't as loud. I have no clue what this could be, but I hope it's nothing serious. I can remember numerous occasion where I've gone over some nasty bumps or pot holes, even though I try to swerve and avoid everything that looks like a bump or pot hole...sometimes there's just too many.

I had this exact thing happen to me after my Koni Yellow install. Turns out I didn't tighten the bottom bolts on the shock enough and they were just rattling. Another thing I'd check would be the end links to see if they worked loose.

Go 17's. Problem solved.

I was thinking it could be loose end links, or something just came loose...I'm really hoping this is the issue haha. I'll have to check everything tonight if I have time after class. I didn't have any time yesterday after I discovered the cracked wheel so I was only able to put 2 MS3 winter wheels on the rear haha...looks kinda funny with 2 different sets of wheels on the front and back....s***...does that make me a ricer??? HAHA

I wanted to go 17's, but the 18's were such a good deal and I needed tires ASAP. The only reason I got the wheels was because I needed tires, and the price I paid for the MSR wheels (came with tires) was about the same as paying for brand new tires, plus the cost of mounting/balancing them on my 18" RX-8 wheels. The wheels/tires were almost brand new, so in my eyes, I sort of got free wheels.

Looking back, I guess I could have driven on my winter wheels for a bit, but I really didn't want to put a lot of miles on them...I drive about 700-800 miles a week lol.

If it's in my budget for next year, I would like to possibly sell a set of wheels and get a set of 17x8 wheels for the track. It's so far away right now that I'm not even going to begin to look.

Well this explains a lot about humanity...

I hope that's a joke...but this isn't/

How would you pronounce this child's name: 'Le-a' ???

Leah?? NO
Lee - A?? NOPE
Lay - a?? NO
Lei?? Guess Again.

It's pronounced 'Ledasha' Oh yes...you read it right.
This child attends a school in Livingston Parish, LA. Her mother is
irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.

SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please
remember to pronounce it correctly.

When the mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name,
she said 'the dash don't be silent.'

Anyone have any idea why my speedo and tach light won't work, but all the cell lights do? And yes I took out the gauges and checked the bulbs. All the wires are hooked up and everything works fine, but for some freakin reason the main dash lights don't light up. makes for fun time driving to work at night. Good thing I know my car pretty good and I goo at matching the note of the exhaust sound with the speed at which I'm going.

I'm going to state the obvious, could the light be burnt out?

Do your tail lights work?

The reason I ask is because I had a similar issue when I blew the fuse for the dash lights and the tail lights wouldn't turn on. A thought to check.

Maybe the dimmer switch for your dash lights is turned down or is broken.

I noticed this afternoon that my office is completely dead this week.. No one is really there at all, so I decided to finish up my admin stuff and other safety training at my apartment this afternoon.
