MSP Belt Slipping

:
Laser Blue MSP #2733_sold
Why does my belt keep slipping??

It happened one other time before and I thought it was just an old belt because it slipped and shredded all over the place.

Second time it slipped and I fixed it cause I thought it might've been too loose.

Now I'm sure it wasn't too loose and it seems to only really be slipping one tooth.

Is there an adjustment I don't know about?

i have my su motor mounts on standby im just too lazy to get to the rear one haha

when I bought my MSP I had this problem for a few months, What I did was buy a size or two smaller belt and made sure I had a long enough bolt on the tension side of the alternator to move it forward so the belt would fit, But be sure to not over tighten the belt becuase it will squeak as well.... Now this may or may not help you becuase IDK if the the belt that was on the car at the time I purchased was actually the right size ha. But the belt that is working right now is a 35" gates I ahvent heard a peep out of it for several months now. and dont use belt dressing that s*** doesnt do anything ha.

PS: the reason I went with a smaller belt was not to make it tighter but to make the distance between each pulley more even. what I was seeing when I took the belt off was a big "buldge or bump" in one area of the belt where the Alternator set on it becuase it was so much further away from the other pulleys that after a while it strained the belt, and this is what I believe the squeal comes from. Now once again everyones car is different so this may not help you at all, Before you go buy a smaller belt make sure you can move your alternator forward a inch or two. and also make sure there isnt any gunk in the teeth of the pulleys, I steel brush is good for this.

I was experiencing the same thing. What I did was space out the P/S pump to the left with single washers between the right side plate with 2 smaller bolts and another washer between the spacer on the bracket bolted on to the head.
