Yeah, it was a custom build by 1 of the OneLap teams. I don't THINK it was TeamMER (they're the guys that did the OneLap MazdaSpeed5) that did that one, I believe it was a different team. But since they were both semi-sponsored by MazdaSpeed they operated more or less as a team.
 
AutoBarn Mazda has the ms5 built for them to race it... wouldnt suprise me one bit to find out they are/were the masterminds behind the ms2 either hahaha

Tyson on the left was awesome, he'd sit there for days after I told him to. Apollo on the right, he's our special needs Boxer cause he's so retarded/goofy! Took a while to get him to sit still. lol

We don't have Tyson anymore though, had to put him down after he attacked my wife's niece and nephew. :( The puppy we replaced him with is just as good though.
 
I thought Car and Driver built a Mazdaspeed5 a few years ago too, no? Though theirs wasn't set up for racing...

And in case anyone missed the Halloween Party thread, it's tomorrow. Hope to see you turkeys there!
 
someone just dumped a speed 3 engine and seats on a 5, but didn't set it up for racing. I don;t remember who recked the first speed5 but I do think they made another one
 
Yeah, that turbo 2 should be pretty cool when it's finished. Here is the rendering:

Anyone watch the GT Academy on Speed Channel before? It's the competition that starts with GT5 and then the top competitors go to Silverstone for a competition racing real Nissan race cars (370z and GTR). The winner gets a spot on the Nissan team.

I just watched the 5th episode (Free on Hulu!) and take a look at the screen capture. This was at the very end of the episode:
