What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

I love stepping out of it in a suit downtown.
Slammed six & hop out looking g'd up from the feet up. Try that s*** in an Evo or Subie. I'm not driving a BENZ, but gd it makes me feel good that I only paid 10k for mine @94k & it's only got 102k now (took possession 4 Jul 2010).

And due to Hurricane Preparedness...into the cave of safety (I just finished washing/waxing it).

I like the way you roll, lol. Seriously, I think you're on to something there.

New tires mounted/balanced and aligned. I was shocked the alignment was fairly in spec, since its been 3 years since its been aligned, and i was getting pretty uneven tire wear...

I picked up the covers from ebay.
Was quite easy to get the stock covers off...retarded amount of work to get the new ones to sit properly, removing the door panels, removing the mirrors, running power, siliconing the new covers etc etc. I like it 100x better than stock though. You can check my Vgarage for price where I got it yadda yadda.

Thanks, I went and bought some today.

If I could like/upvote this statement.....

Never said anything was wrong about the luxury about the vehicle, I couldnt agree more. The reason why I bought it was because of how it looks on the inside/out + the features.

I was just talking about how it's poor to invest performance mods because when you take it to the track, you will be dissapointed.

I'm just "testing waters" for now. Slim chance my car will actually sell, since I don't think I'll get anything near what I want. I payed close to $30,000 for mine (used) and they're going for about half that price now. If I could get 17-19Kish I'd probably let it go. I would part out though and hopefully try to get around 18-20K total with car and parts sold.

Reason? Small things that add up for me. My brakes are gone, I need new rotors and such and that's not cheap. On my way to the mechanic to get my brakes checked out, I threw a CEL. I think one of my cats may be clogged. I was excited about getting my DP in, only to find out I basically HAVE to get a FP. Cp-e fuel pump I can pick up for $1200.00 local, or $700-something + shipping, + taxes, + duty, + waiting... Sad thing is you keep throwing money at the MS6, parts are very expensive and I hateeeeeeee to say this, but our cars are slow. Some will disagree but I've been going to the track often in the last few weeks and it's sad to see these $2,000 Honda civics with $2,000 k20 engine swaps running low 13's. Not saying I want a civic, but I kinda feel the MS6 is a poor car to invest in for power.

I have my flame suit ready lol, I'm just saying the MS6 is a nice looking car, with a great luxury appearance and it's very smooth and nice. Power wise... sorry you need to upgrade the turbo and do some serious work if you want the car to move. I don't know if anyone knows but I'm very young. Um, 19 lol. I don't have kids/family or anything - it's not like I need a big car for room and all the stuff.

Again, I'm only TESTING waters. If I got 18-20K, I would have enough money to buy 2 cars. Maybe a 240sx with an engine swap for example. Second car would be a beater/winter car. That way I would have a car for the track/power monster, as well as a daily driver/beater.

/END RANT - FLAME SUIT ON.
lol

Mine was on the market for a few months. I got a lot of low ball offers. I managed to get 15,900 for it. Get your self a corvette! You can get a nice used zo6 with low miles for under 25k. But even though my vette would squash my speed6 during its prime I still do miss the car. I liked the sleeper look and no one knew what the hell it was. It was pretty reliable too. Damn yellow corvette just gets too much attention.

wannabe, Mazda's "in spec" is full of crap. Mine chewed through a set of tires in one summer the first year I had it, right to the belts. Turns out I had what was "acceptable" positive camber in the front, and I had to get the SPC ball joints to fix it. That and a custom alignment was one of the best things I've done to the car.

Had to get a new battery.....I guess this one lasted a while (55K miles). Glad it only stranded me at work, though, since the garage is just 3 blocks away.

Could you p/m me on how you wired the lights up? Thanks.
clear epoxy, flat head screwdriver, wrench, phillips screwdriver, wire
I DID THIS W/MS6 w/POWER WINDOWS:
DOORS:
Pull door panels

Unclip the mirror harness from the doors (not sure about no-powered windows)
Unbolt mirrors from door frame (a bit tricky to get a wrench in there, but I managed)

MIRROR ASSEMBLY:
The colored covers POP off (use a thin flathead or pocket knife)
Run your power and ground lines for your lights through the stock power lines (you may need to drill out a hole on the inside for a clean install) because you will need to extend them down to your turn signals (PRO TIP: unbolt your fenders and run the wire behind the bolts for an ultra clean install) Allow yourself extra length of wire incase of a f**k up

Once you've gotten them wired up, do an ops check (hazards, left/right)
Line up the new covers (they come w/2x sided tape) & stick them on
Epoxy them together & allow to dry
Bolt up the mirror assembly

Put the door back together
