What have you done to your Miata today?

Installed a nice ball-and-spring manual boost controller (can't recall the brand, borrowed from a friend) and cranked it up to 12psi. Wooooo! It's fun. Might try 14psi when I find myself at the drag strip next.

Swapped out the CarTech boost gauge for an AutoMeter and still getting spikes of 14psi.

So gotta pull out the Link keypad and see what the boost is set at. If it's at 9, like i was told, i got issues

Are you running an EBC or MBC?

*edit*

I do feel dumb not knowing what is on my car but after a quick search, looks like a MBC

just out of shot? the wastegate line running to it?

Scratch that, looks electronic

The Wastegate has a line running to it then back to the turbo

Yar, she be electronic. There's a tuning parameter that can be adjusted (reduced) to eliminate the boost spike, I think it's the proportional gain, if your EBC has PID control. Some spike will likely be required to get the fastest possible boost response IIRC.

changed the oil, rotated/balanced the tires, installed new drive belts, and cleaned the carbon out of the throttle body...runs a bit better now.

I do have to say 10k miles into the dunlop star specs i expected alot more wear for their tread wear rating but they still have a ton of meat on them....extremely happy with the tires thus far they are smooth, quiet, do very well in the rain, and are very sticky for a daily driven tire.

My EBC green stuff pads are a different story the rears look like the should and have plenty of life on them....the fronts seem to be wearing quite quick

are the star specs make a lot of noise?

love the LO, and wheel color...not sure about the tire streching thing though?

I appreciate it. It's just what i'm into. The reason you don't see me on here/Mazdaspeed forums very often is because I mostly hang around sites like StanceWorks, StanceNation, Wrong Fitment Crew, etc etc. I know the whole "form > function" thing isn't for everyone, but I have been big into the fitment scene since '09 and I just love the look of the cars involved. Tires needed to be stretched to get the car sitting how I wanted it.

sure, i understand.......got it....i think there are a few members her that are into that is well. still, love the color andf wheels!! and that plate fits the car perfectly! :)

none that i am aware of...at least i cant hear any over the exhaust.

I've had a number of tires that people have said are loud, but I have never really noticed it. The Paradas are supposedly loud too...
