The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

^Can you PM a couple pics to me of the Miata or post some bigger ones? I'm looking for a car like this for school and keep miles and rust off of mine.

Wow, people are pathetic. This dude that's trolling my CL ad is likely of the same ilk as the scum that broke into Nate's car.

Now he posted this:

"this could hurt, hahahahahahahahahaha

Buyer Beware 1991 miata - $1500 (Ravenna, MI)

Guy is selling a 1991 red convertible miata. He is asking $1500, but the car is a complete piece of trash. The rust is underneath the convertible top and it travels down water outlet and into the chassis where it has rusted out the rockers. Front of car appears to have frame damage around core support. Just giving heads up because the guy is completely dishonest about it. If you do make an offer, he already said he would accept $500, however, he really just needs to scrap it before this car gets somebody killed.

Too bad 1) wrong year, and 2) wrong state! Lmao! His post was already flagged. So pathetic, he never even saw the car.

I'll offer you $499. That's my final offer. We need more flower pots.

(just kidding, Phen.)

i just marked as spam too, hopefully they'll take it down soon...what the hell is wrong with some people?!

^^Thanks, man. I honestly don't know what is wrong with some people. Sorry to crap up the thread, guys. This has been such a headache so far trying to sell it. I can't wait until it's truck time!!! :)

my theory, the guy is a low budget used car sales man and he knows he can get at least twice that for your car. He obviously wants it

Just got this today:

Well I'm starving, so I'll obviously jump on 500$...

I'm jelly of that bar, and I won't even have a Miata shortly (hopefully).

I'm going to showthe pics of the Miata to my gf a see if she is down with me getting it. I'm trying to promote the fact that she could learn to drive stick with it. I've always wanted a miata even if it a little ruff. Just means I can see if I can remember how to do body work and paint. To bad it would have to be rattlecan for now. I'll get back with you tomorrow. I might have to talk with the bank or have my gf take the loan out for me and I'll use school money to pay for it when it comes.

That's the bar I have! It's a nice piece. Don't forget to order your padding too!

If I didn't have a wedding coming up I'd totally buy your Miata. I've been wanting either an already built SM or a donor car for a while now.

I didn't mention it on here because I figured it was too rough for car guys like us, ya know? I mean I'm picky about stuff, but I wasn't really when I bought it because 1) the price, 2) I just wanted to get my hands dirty, and 3) everything that needs to work on it works. It'll need a few things in the future, sooner rather than later, a top (personally I'd just get a hard top), tires (maybe 50% at best?), and brakes (making a squealer sound a bit, but iirc they had plenty of life last fall when I bled them).

Good luck with selling it Wes! Keep your head up, it will sell. I wish I was more motivated to buy it, but it's just not in the cards right now. I'm at a real "in-between" point in my life where I want toys but need to focus on getting on with my real life- house, family, etc. Keep at it and it will sell. Or maybe wait three or so days for the asshole to forget about you, then repost it. Make sure it is up on all the forums as well! Pretty soon, you will be on your way to a 626 swap!

I don't need it.... I've ridden in a Hard Top bar which is lower than mine and I didn't have any issues.

It might not be an issue for DD'ing, but should you get in an accident (which is the whole point of the bar) you don't want to crack your shiny noggin on some tubular steel. I'm betting the steel won't give very much vs. your skull at high speeds. Just sayin. :)

Just make sure you have a DOT approved skull, and you'll have no issues.
