Took the Miata to get detailed today. In the process, found my new detail place. They did a great job and SERIOUSLY undercharged for the work IMO. Even cleaned out as best they could all the years of built up crud under the hood and in the trunk (under where the carpet used to be). Went as far as covering up the air filter and ECU for me. The car looks better than it has in... at least a year, maybe more. Guess she's as ready as she's gonna be for the National Tour next weekend. Too bad I won't be driving it :-/

Yep! Honestly, it's been over a year since she was even washed, and after stripping everything off, the car was filthy. Not like "some dust," but that "dust that's been sitting and layering up over 20 years under carpets and in nooks and crannies inaccessible without dismantling the car" type of crud (like, under where the headlights used to be, for example). Took them the better part of an hour.
