just ordered stainless steel braided lines and fittings for my catch can.
I wouldn't be doing it for performance reasons. I've used it 2 times since I bought it 2.5 years ago. It would just clean the engine bay up quite a bit.I'm just trying to keep from posting a "I spent several days tracking down and replacing chewed wires/hoses/connector" thread. Shooting them on site will be my next step.
Any performance gain would be minimal at best in deleting your A/C imo and it would be missed when its hot or raining.
Lol ok. The last time was Alex.....I didn't do it. I told him to take it to a place and showed hip how to do it himself. And let him chose lolmike, if you do decide to delete it, PLEASE TELL ME, so i can evacuate the lines for you the right way this time lol
It will only take like 30 mins and its FREE
just finished wrapping the center part of my dash and the console in 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber........ it looks sick. will be doing a full carbon fiber wrap on the hood as soon as the 10 feet of snow goes away.
Pics or it didn't happen
Please do not wrap your stock hood in carbon fiber vinyl, center consoles and interior pieces are one thing but entire body panels, c'mon seriously...
Why not? Then you can keep your heavy stocker around for winter and snow traction and still have the cf look!
Waste of good carbon fiber if only for looks=/. I might get flamed but if the cf part isnt doing anything productive or weightsaving in a racecar in sone way, seems like a waste of money. Almost never flows with the car. If i get a gemini im gonna paint it for sure.
25 lbs on a 2800 lbs (dry) car... isn't doing anything. If you want to have productive weight savings in your MSP.... either kick the b**** out, or go on a diet.
My car weighs 2690 wet. I've weighed it. Jus' Sayin'. Don't think the car is 2800 dry, that would make it near 3000lbs wet, and theres no way my car is 300lbs lighter than stock.
back again with another question, and again a noob ?s
the curb weight of the car is 2690, so that means with the car as is (full tank of gas, coolant, oil, fluids) or is it 2690+
never fully understood the meaning of "curb weight" (i do understand the "dry weight")
thx
Curb weight is generally the weight of the car with fluids.
For some motivation: With the full cage, my car now weighs 2350 so there is plent to take out of it. With an LX you could probably get down around 2250.
This thread inspired me to weigh my P5..... Came out to 2780lbs.....
Sub. Awesome thread
