Hey guys I just wanted to know what sways I should get for my protege 5 I was goin to get the race beat sway bars but everyone is saying awr are is the way to go so I was wondering what Is beter and also y doesn't awr make a front sway for are cars is it because we don't need it or what ?? So I was just wonder what u think I should do I want best for performance an I don't realy care about price so tell me what u think thanks

Progress in the rear, its all you need. The front is a major operation to replace. My progress rear is awesome, with none of the bs associated with other bars. Just realize you may eventually break your endlink or strut tab, so you will need to upgrade struts at some point.

i wish i had gone with the progress or even the AWR instead of the racing beat personally. correct me if i'm wrong but the progress is a 21.5mm, racing beat is 20mm and AWR is 19mm. but i would go with one of the other kits cause even without an MSP, i have the MSP clunk...thank you racing beat

I have the MSP rear sway and cannot complain, never had the clunk, and love it...I have three MSP bars sitting in the shed along with an AWR with adjustable endlinks...if you need one let me know, but I would definitely recomend the MSP regardless...

My clunk was caused by the bushings needing to be re-greased. After a while, it will dry out. I've had zero issues with the MSP bar clunking again and don't have the clunk fix bracket either.

I had the Progress bar, but since I'm pretty low, I sold it to get the MSP bar. The design of the Progress bar will keep you from going too low because it sits just above the rear lateral links.

If you don't plan on dropping more than 1-1.5, the Progress bar would be fine. It really tightened up the rear. It was easy to oversteer at stock height.

Awr: 21.5mm(adjustable) or 19mm
Progress: 22mm
Racing Beat: 20mm

Go with the awr if you can afford it. I went with awr because of its adjustability, and I was going to eventually upgrade the stock endlinks to an adjustable set in the future.

I love my Progress bar. That's really all you need. It's not really recommended to replace the front only because it's alot of work to do.

You def have to uprgrade the struts I have one endlink in the rear now thanks to the tab off the cheapo strut I had in the rear I can't really compare them I just have the stock racing beat I have the clunk cause all of my endlinks are shot. I'm planing on spending the 207 bucks to get all 4 adjustable endlinks when I get new struts. My sway bar bushings squek instead of clunk and I'm too cheap to replace them so every three months or so I just regrease them

Alright I just lowered my car 2 inches so I guess the progress is out of the question and the racing beat I see has alot if problem so I will getthe awr kit on protegegarege.com an I will get the 21.5 mm one and y don't they sell awr with a front sway bar cause I want like no body role and I can't find a rear strut bar in the back

Ig you can drop the crossmember down and do it yourself awr.com has a front I believe. But a shop will charge you out the ass to do it your looking at 6 hours depending on if you know what your doing or not

ok i will try to find it cause to tryed and i couldnt find s*** but i will try and y do they make it so hard to change the front one

Actually there is alot. lol I have had to do it twice, once for the clutch and once for the rear motor mount. Real pain. But if you want to try it it would be good times =)

Just make sure you have enough PB blaster and all the right tools before you start.

A few worst case scenarios-car fall on you, sent wrong part so you have to do it again, forget to suport the motor mess up motor mounts, not tightn bolts properly stuff fall off going down the road, break a bolt head off and break finger or a knuckle. That's about the worst but probly won't happen def make sure somebody helps you makes everything easier and also safer. And also make sure you have plenty of time and don't rush it when you do stuff for the first time its always best to make sure you have plenty of time just incase and on the longer jobs like this its best to have a friend or you'll get sick of doing it and rush it. Its not a complicated job its just a lot of work. I've gota replace my rear motor mount in a couple months so ill be doing it to cause ill probly replace the front sway bar bushings while I'm aat it

Uhmm I like the how to thread and uhmm that rear strut bar is for an mx6 will that fit ?? Cause if it does hell ya iwill get that and does it matter what type of front strut I should get everyone says to to get one that's sold and has no henges or does it realy mater I just need a beter one then I have now
