NEMOC Random BS Thread

With a little help from Photoshop it will. ;) Ask anyone here, I made my 6 year old point and shoot do magic. About the only limitation you have is DOF (Depth Of Field).

i do have photoshop. just need to learn how to use it better :)
my friend did some fooling with some of my pictures and made them nicer, but man, your pics are just gorgeous

So I accepted the job offer and started the hiring process. My official start date is Nov 15th and the movers come on the 8th. I'll probably fly down there to go apartment hunting before I officially leave here.

I'm going to miss everyone. :(

Congrats Chris. You will be missed.

Too nice a day to work on the car. Mary and I spent the afternoon at Rye Beach. Beautiful day.

I have LM22s on my front wheels in the winter and they're awesome.

So awesome that I'm hoping I find two more Blizzaks to put on the wheels. I do have the tires that Jeff gave me though.

Exactly! Glad you got out as did I. I'm doing a photo shoot in Myles Standish State Forest this Thursday. Looks to be a great day as well. Saturday looks bitter cold again.

good morning everyone!

"2 tires are WS 50 with unknown mileage

2 tires are WS 60 with less than 20k on them.

All 195 60 R15's"

asking $120 for the set up. ill prob do around 8k miles between december and april

Happy Hump Day all.

Well yesterday was beautiful and today is dreary. Will work on the engine bay today. Meeting with the real estate agent tonite. Need to get this house sold.

Morning all!

Kyle - My thoughts on snows... how many days during the winter is there actually enough snow ON THE ROAD to make you NEED snows. I've never had snow tires, only all seasons. Maybe if you lived in Alaska and snow never left the road, I would get snow tires. They're pretty good around here about getting snow off the road. I think you'd wear down snow tires a lot quicker than you'd like running them on dry or wet-but-not-snow-covered roads.

yeah thats where I am now. i never had snows either on my civic and did just fine. its kinda tough finding all seasons on craigslist because people just list them as tires (no specification between summer, all season, etc.)

i thought about just even picking up real cheap all seasons new from somewhere if i cant find any on CL

Make sure you go through James for new tires. He may be able to help you out (and lead you in the right direction).

Thanks! If you move close enough we can do Atlanta and VIR races and possibly caravan up for future LRP events. ;)

Good luck Chris! Hope to see ya at LRP next year.

We'll see how my schedule works out. The first year of the job is orientation and training with high amounts of travel involved. Hehe I found out this program is rather new and they are still ironing out the kinks. Maybe I can give some advice on how to make it work better after I am done.... Hmmm....

IMO Blizzaks are an over rated tire for the money. The snow tire compound is worn at or under 10k miles. In that case they are already probably worn. If you're not buying new snow tires then I think you are better off buying all-season and being done. If you drive that many miles a week a new set of snows would probably only last you 2 maybe 3 seasons.

I will probably pass on these and just talk to James on saturday :). cannot wait for the weekend, im so excited for the cleaning meet! and to go into boston afterwards :D

It does depend on how much driving you do and in what conditions. I know of several people who have had all season tires and can't even get out of the driveway when the snow gets compacted. In addition the harder compound rubber in all seasons still make them slippery in the low temps. However there are newer tires available these days that bridge that gap between the two. I'm on my 4th season with the same winter tires. Granted I do not travel as much as most here.

Changed my gps mounting around, like it better here, also hid the wires a little better so they arent hanging all over the place.
