NEMOC Random BS Thread

I should have some car updates by the weekend...planning on using my day off in CT on thursday to detail the car, as well as swap the winter wheels on (picked up another swirly from the JY).

until then, here's a pic of what I ride to work.

Morning!!

Got the car washed and vacuumed out last night, first time that's happened in a while. Got the wheels off to get the TPMS sensors off for the new wheels, the BHR ignition coils installed, LEDs installed, and the AP installed! All in one night! James' hands are a little beat up and the 8 has a broken (kinda destroyed) vacuum elbow that has to be replaced.

Busy Night! Nice having a live in mechanic huh? lol
Can't wait to see it on Saturday.

Oleg, what you doing in NY man ?

Thats why I try not to drive my MSP around NY.
I got family in Staten Island, so I make a trek down there all the time.

Oleg, you finally killed the original dunlops?
Haha, yes... it was a tread puncture in the tire, I spun it round and found a hole.. the rest of the damage must be from fast deflation on the highway.

Now I need to find a cheap set of tires for the summer... in a 16" size.

Not sure what to do about replacement tires for the P5. I have a set of 15" snows that are at about 7/32nds and will be worn down to probably 5/32nds this winter. They wear down to an all-season compound at about 5/32nds.

I'm not sure that the P5 is going to make it to next winter, with all the rust on the body. So I will probably have to sell it sometime next year. If I buy new/lightly used tires for the P5, I would want to get summers for myself. However, that may impact the resale value, if the person buying the car can't drive in the winter. If I get all-seasons for the P5, it won't be quite as nice in the summer, but may have a better resale.

So I accepted the job offer and started the hiring process. My official start date is Nov 15th and the movers come on the 8th. I'll probably fly down there to go apartment hunting before I officially leave here.

I'm going to miss everyone. :(

We will miss you too Chris!! Hopefully you can make it up for Lime Rock? Good luck anyways.....you'll be there sat right?

Oleg, just buy some cheap all-seasons for the P5. If you're not going to keep it, don't bother with summer tires. All seasons can be just as much fun driving back and forth to work.

man i wish i had a nice camera!!

would snow tires be kind of a waste on me and wear out quick if i do around 300+ miles per week? or should I pick up some all seasons to use for the winter on my stockers. really on the fence right now. i know snows would be awesome but i dont want to wear them out in a winter or two
