SOLD!

I'll miss it!

Selling my '08 Cosmic Blue Mica Mazdaspeed 3 Sport. Currently the odometer sits at 53,077. It is in fantastic condition, always garaged (both at home and at work). I have a ~80 mile commute so I've racked up the miles fairly quick, but they're all highway. The car has never been raced or to the track. Tires are new, they've only been on for about 10k miles. The car has given me ZERO issues and has been my daily driver since the beginning of '08. I wash it at least once a month (usually more), with clay + wax every 6 months. It has a really small dent on the drivers side door which I *tried* to show on one of the pictures. Selling a car is the good/bad/ugly, and this is the only "ugly". I am in Ventura County (north/west of LA).

Car is almost stock, save for:

  • 35" 3M Tint
  • TWM Short Throw Shifter w/ bushings
  • Corksport rear motor mount inserts

Both the shifter and mount were installed at around 10,000 miles. Tint went on the first month I had it.

The car is freshly washed, waxed, completely clean inside + out and waiting for its new owner.

I am asking $15,500. PM me any questions you have or if you'd like any additional photos of anything.

Incoming picture bomb!

Here is me trying to photo the small dent on the drivers side door. Its tiny, so apologies for the picture - its hard to take a photo of it.

If I was in the market for a speed3, I would buy this car. Blue Cosmic mica ftw.
GLWS bro.

OH MAN! You are in my state! I am drooling! I guess I better check what the insurance rate would be for me.

What tires are on the car now?

Goodyear Eagle GT

Insurance has been surprisingly cheap for me. In fact, my wife's '09 Mazda6 i GT costs more (freak)

Thanks DKo5!

Looks like insurance for me is a whopping $90 more a year than what I am now paying on my 2006 Mazda5! :)

Now I just need to take care of financing. Anyone know the number for the place where I can sell my organs?(dark)

I've had a few interested people, but no one too serious yet. Still available!

Saw your ad on CL also, no luck yet? I would love to add this car to my list.

What car are you replacing it with?

I've had a few interested parties but no one too serious yet.

I've now got a satin white pearl '11 STi sedan sitting in the garage next to the MS3 :D :D Just finished the break in a few days ago

So.... tell us how they compare we all know it's two wheel against four and thats hardly fair. There should be around $8K differences. I would think the 4X4 would be more secure and less animal.

The MS3 still has the edge over the STi in handling, imo. Its much more of a go-kart. That said, the torque steer and lack of tracking in pretty much every situation really kill the ability to make the full use of the MS3. The ability to get instant hook-up and just GO, even in the rain, makes the extra cost worth it. The STi is much more comfortable as a daily driver. Its slightly softer, less "edgy" and wild on everyday streets, etc.

Its a shame, really, as I love the MS3 and think Mazda makes the best handling cars. If they'd bump up the hp and make it (real) AWD the MS3 would eat the WRX's lunch and give the STi a serious run for the money. Also a shame the new ones are so ugly (imo of course!) ;)

Great information and review! I couldn't agree with you more on the AWD MS3, if there was one, I would be driving it.

Great oppurtunity for Mazda to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the 323 GTX!

Mazdaspeed 3 GTX?

I woulda thought it had sold a while ago too! Unfortunately I've been quite busy and haven't been taking it too seriously.
