HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

sorry, i have not been able to follow all the thread so i was wondering if you corrected the probalem you had with the supercharger? i think it was fuel cut or stg?

also, how much power are you going to be putting down?

It was my coil packs. .. Common problem I guess.

As for the pulley I still have to make some time. Had to work this weekend....=( Hopefully I can get the pulley on sometime this week. I cant wait!!!! I wanna take a sick day and put it on.... lol (cant do that though)
 
Got the pulley on........ running .66 hkpa. or 9.5 PSI...... =)

All I can say is that I have to get it tuned. Felt some hiccuping when I was testing. So I gotta save up some money and get the spilt sec tuned then ill also get some numbers.

Looks good!!!, 9.5psi is perfect!!!! you are running more CFM across the board, so to be safe you could just enrich all the spots a couple points
 
Yea I'm going to get it tuned before I run it again. Kinda scared. lol I was running kinda lean during the testing. So next wedensday I'll be getting it tuned.
 
I'm hoping for atleast 200. I'll try to get both printouts from the last dyno and this next one.
 
to get it to the shop safly enrich the whole board, see with the bigger pulley the supercharger is blowing more air all the time now, you need to add more fuel to the whole thing!!!!!

at idle supercharger was spinning X fast, creating Y amount of air, you have increased the diameter by about 20% so now
at idle you are spinning 20% X faster, creating 20% Y more air so in thory you could add 20% more fuel for the whole map for up to 5psi, your tunner will have to make up the rest for the 9.5psi.

but this way you could drive it lightly

Looks like your wheels were rubbing a little in the wheel well eh? Got that fixed yet?
 
FYI I vote for the front mount intercooler, water injection works best to prevent Knock as it substantially raises octane rating, but its also a pain to tune for as fuel is 14.5:1 and methenal/alchohole is 6.5:1. I used it for a bit and it really didn't cool the charge enough, it also played havoc on my wideband sensor
 
Super charger creates hot air?
I though it was for turbo since the turbo is extremely hot
 
any compression of air creates heat. Super and turbo do the same thing in different ways. one on exhaust energy, one on belt energy
