UPDATE: Items listed bold now include shipping

PLEASE READ WHAT IS HERE INSTEAD OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE. I have willing refunding money on more than 1 occasion because the buyer was not reading the thread completely. I will NOT continue to do this because it is your responsibility as a buyer to understand what you are purchasing, pricing & shipping. If you have question ask, I will respond .

OK I have a lot of parts that I am need to find new homes for in order to make room for the start of the next project. Most of the parts are from a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protg with 76K miles, Protege specific, some Miata parts, and universal ones as well. The motor is still sitting in the car, so there will be a lead time of about a week to get it out. There is a mixture of new and used items, and I believe the prices are very seasonable for you get, however some prices are firm and other are negotiable. I will also include photos of some parts that I have from the time or purchase to get a good idea of everything included with that item. I will do my absolute best to ship all items USPS flat rate shipping in order to keep shipping cost low, and use FedEx for those parts that require most than the Post Office will allow. Tracking numbers will come with each purchase and insurance on parts through USPS that will be extra, and there will be $100 worth of insurance & tracking # through parts shipped FedEx unless buyer opts for more insurance to cover the item. Freight cost for the motor have to worked out. Money talks, dibs walk. Some parts have firm pricing and others have some room for negotiation. Also I will be will to break the motor apart if there is a couple of you who are only looking fir a head or a block, although my main goal is to get rid of everything listed. Thanks for looking and PM me before sending any money, PayPal at dragonballspeed@hotmail.com. All Sales Final. Make offers on parts with no prices listed. I need to move these, so I can be somewhat flexible on the pricing of some items.

You have some nice parts and good prices, but you can't charge people for the PayPal fee. It's against PayPal Terms of Service and is overall pretty lame. You as a seller also benefit from using PayPal, so why should the buyer pay the fee?

Also, if you do receive money by PayPal and want to protect yourself, you MUST obtain tracking or delivery confirmation to quality for any type of seller protection. PayPal is a major convenience but it has its perks. My suggestion would be to simply price the items so that you can comfortably cover the PP fee and delivery confirmation.

Good luck with your sale.

BTW, what kind of throttle body is that?

PM's sent to those of you who sent them. The Samco hoses have 10 feet each and the throttle body is stock with removed idle control and coolant lines.

+1 to everything said here

The best practice is to simply price your items so that you get enough out of the transaction after fees are subtracted. Not to mention, the fees we're talking about here are so minimal, why make them the buyer's problem? Buyers will get the feeling they're being nickle-and-dime'd. Looked at a utility bill lately? That's the kind of vibe you're sending out.

If you ship by USPS, Delivery Confirmation can be added to any shipping method that it isn't included with for a small fee. Some form of tracking or delivery confirmation is required for all transactions that occur on Mazdas247.com and is the buyer's responsibility. It is in your interest to secure tracking or D.C. as they protect you by acting as your proof of delivery should any disputes arise. Again, factor these costs into the costs of the items. Don't make the buyer pay extra for them.

About insurance - it is in your interest as a seller to insure any items that you ship out. If the PO loses your package, you'll be financially responsible for refunding the buyer. If you do not purchase insurance, the refund comes out of your pocket. Insurance is not a perk that your buyer pays for. It's protection you purchase for yourself.

That said - kudos on a well organized and documented FS thread. Keep up the good work (2thumbs)

FEES Removed, however do not send me low ball offers please. These are good quality parts that you can get for a great price. dragonballspeed 08/23/10

I have never had a problem with shipping or making sure that the buyer is in the know. As for the prices I can adjust it for those who feel it better suits them. I have sold way too many items to know that you always loose money in the transaction somewhere not to mention the money I loose for selling a high quality used part that I take on top before the sale ever happens. I will gladly send you a PM if you like to demonstrate how much money can be lost on some items if you are not proactive.

Let me know if you will seperate these items.

Rob

Unfortunately, I will never be able to sll the PS stuff as pieces unless others are asking for other parts in the system. My suggestion go to the salvage yard and get one, use a motorcycle oil cooler, OR pick up a cheap oil/fuel cooler and use that. pesonally I hated that peice and always wanted it relocated out of the way.

Hey dragonball, Just ship Priority Flat rate box.

Weight restrictions for Domestic are 70 lbs. Weight restrictions for Priority Mail International are 4 lbs for the Flat Rate Envelope and Small Flat Rate Box; 20 lbs for the Medium and Large Flat Rate Box.

Zone 1-8 (Give or take on pricing):

Flat-Rate Envelope $4.9
Small Flat-Rate Box $4.95
Medium Flat-Rate Boxes $10.7
Large Flat-Rate Box $14.5
APO/FPO Large FRB $12.5

Medium is always $11.95 and Large is always $14.95. If it fits, it ships!

You get free tracking when you pay for your label online with USPS. Printing it is so simple, it wont charge you unless your label printed correctly. You have one flat rate cost, free tracking and you can always price the insurance in your final price. Bigger/heavier packages you would have to take to like say UPS, FedEx, etc. Get your tracking number off the label and attach it to your paypal transaction. It automatically send the email to the buyer of the tracking info.

I have shipped so many things via USPS like Alternators, Starters, ECU's, etc because of the limit. As long as the flaps close on the box and look normal, your good to go! Just package and fill your box for protection of course. International almost doubles on price so the buyer should be made aware. Boxes are free and you can order them online or pick one up at USPS.

Just food for thought....
