well im not the best at spelling. wish i was more awake during school. im not here to guess what i did wrong. This is my first....i told you so.. dont tune it.
New to to me i have used the search. I am here to try and document this. mazda no intel. kid buys car wants boost gauge. Im no master but have rebuilt alot of engines. I think its kinda funny when you start taking the drive shafts out and the cairier/block is part of the deal. cooler from my reading witch needs to be swaped over as well has a nice chunk like goonies out of it.
Please dont give me alot of sH.+ about the intabulature plate...aka girddle...I am in need of good advice about the fs-de...conv....with all turbo parts...pics will come...12psi on stock internals...dumb.....mbc. im here to fix it. any help would be cool.

just gonna be the first...to be honest i didnt understand anything of what you just said...what is it exactly that your looking for?

OMG, I.... RAGED! Did i lose? hahaha

But dude slow down and think before you type so people can understand what you need....

I loved that movie, The Goonies. You know Sam Wise(whatever) from Lord of the Rings trilogy was in that?

So my friend, you threw a rod. I think you were saying it went through the back of the block? Through the oil-cooler plate? Are you looking for a source to get replacement parts/ block/ etc?

It is sure debatable and most would agree that 12psi, especially on a MBC is not the best for the car but it certainly has been done by plenty of guys on here for years. Did you have a boost gauge, I know you mentioned a kid that wanted one? Also is there any method to viewing your air fuel ratios?

When you were removing the driveshafts/ axles, I am assuming that the carrier block piece you are describing is the portion where the passenger shaft bolts up to the back of the block to keep it in place? That's gnarly damage if that is the case.

The guy I bought my MSP was running 10 PSI with a MBC and blew the block the same way. I am about to go under and check the damage to the block. From what parts he gave me, looks to be the block only. If not this will really slow down my build. I have another MBSP but off the Donor P5 block that I may need just in case, never know.

Please update your location, lots of potential "local" help out there. Also, go back and edit some of your info for clarity so we can help you better.

^agreed. i can't stand when people don't have their location in their profile. like, in that off chance that he is near one of us...im sure we could swing by. i know i would.

First off i would like to say sorry for being drunk when i posted the thred. I have some funny pics to post of this engine i pulled it out this morning. you can see right through the block. trashed oil cooler, girddle and broke the carrier bearing on pass drive shaft. Well dont have much time right now to get detailed but can you mill a hole in none turbo girddle for oil return.

You could, but would be easier to make it right to the oil pan, I have a NA girddle plate if you want to just tap the oil pan...

i was kinda thinking the same. just weld a bung and fitting. what about head bolt torqes. are they differnt on n/a motors.

Drill a hole, tap, and install one of these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRS-1037/ Its what I did and works like a charm

if he builds it right it may be his last. im sure as hell hoping after the money i just spent on my car, that i never throw a rod. though for some reason my gut says i will....

I know what they are for Stock MSP, idk about NA, But If you have ARP head studs you have to go up to 70 ft/lb (MUST GET ARP HEAD STUDS IF YOU ARE REMOVING THE HEAD) Just saying its a smart thing to do!
