Any photographers in here?

My first post in this thread... just had a Golf shoot this weekend and decided to post up my two favorite shots. Let me know what you guys think (these were shot with a Nikon D5000).

cool shots. I would have pushed the foreground subjects further to the side of the frame in #1, but it's nice. In the second one, I'll pull the reds back a bit, because the clouds on the far right look awkward. it's a great shot though.

nickster - that second pic is awesome.

Thanks man! That's my overall fav too.

Good feedback. I'll mess around with the colors on the second one and see what happens. Thanks!

The first one looks photoshopped.

I can see what you mean... it could be because of the bright colors and the slight over saturation. Regardless, all photos are brought into photoshop for post-production. You'll hardly ever see any photographers call their photos finished until after it's seen photoshop or similar program.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll upload more new shots as I grab 'em.

it is AWESOME

it doesn't do sound, but you have to be tethered to your computer, and you probably have a mic for that. I have a pretty amazing one actually. I'll have to do some guitar stuff.

Also, I might try it next time I go birding. I have a netbook that would work fine to drag around with me.

Yeah I know. There has got to be a better way. Someone just needs to write the uberfirmware hack. This thing just records the live view. Theoretically, you should be able to do the same thing but write to the CF card.

My buddy and I drove to NW Washington D.C. this weekend to take some pics of his Supra. I thought I'd share a couple of HDR photos that I generated from the shoot:
