The stock inlet for the IC ducting is in a high pressure zone. The scoop on this hood is in a low pressure zone. So while your car may look faster it's not actually going to gain you any performance...I don't care what your butt dyno has to say.

Read the PDF that bacarl posted...then you might actually understand what he was trying to tell you.

This hood is for looks only.

wellllll you can take that pdf file.. print it out.. and stick it.. right up your... take a guess..
JK dont flip out
I DIDNT GET THE HOOD FOR PERFORMANCE. if anyone paid that much money for the amount of performance you would get out of that hood then they are dumb..

could someone photoshop the stripe from the black car onto the red car? i bet it would look sick

Is the red one yours? I've been looking at that same hood, debating if I want to go with an FMIC for less than the hood itself - although more air into the engine room wouldn't hurt either way.

Will it add 20+whp? Nope... but it will cool the engine compartment a bit more, also allowing airflow from the high pressure zone to push air through the compartment instead of into it - there's not much downdraft outside of the TMIC compartment since it seals well.

nah the black ones mine.. it looks good on red but you definitley need some other accents besides the hood.. maybe side mirror covers and the spoiler extension..

related question,,, what are your thoughts of getting rid of the stock intercooler cover, and basically not using any cover at all. will that improve airflow or more likely allow the engine to cool down quicker?

or rather is that a surefire way to open yourself up to future issues w/ the vehicle.

thx!

Yea the intercooler cover offers a seal so all the air is directed through the intercooler. Some have cut the cross hatching out but I think that helps direct air into the intercooler as well, if you look they are angled down into the intercooler.

!!!!

i would leave the cover on... it does create a seal and evenif it didnt the gains would be so minimal..

If I'm not mistaken ( and please somebody correct me if I'm wrong) this is made by Carbon Creations or VIS???? Not entirely sure though..
