Hey all,

Just wondering those of you that joined the Hypertech Reflash club, with your mods and the reflash what are you boosting at? peak and taper.....

I logged at 75mph downshift to 5th at WOT I boosted at 20.23 psi and spike for a split sec to 21.47, I was TOTALLY suprised cuz before under load in 3rd it would only go to 17.32 psi... todays temps was in the mid 90's any thoughts?

for me is it the same whit HT as without the tune... about 18... strange I think... my car is marginally faster 0-100 mph than stock...runs great though...

Same for me also, My Prosport gauge shows a 20psi spike and settles to 18..Wonderring what my psi will spike to after mu FMIC install tho??? HT FTW :)

Okay well I thought I might have been the only one, whew.......my ETS really helped jump the boost psi apparently.

Dashawk say: depending on temp, a spike to between 19 and 21, settling to mid 17s then a gradual taper after 5K, down to about 15 at 6k.

Now, spdjnke has a different TMIC so, his numbers might be different. anything that changes the flow character can affect these #s.

Darth, in your experience does the Hypertech have its load tables bumped up just enough that those spikes are not inducing load cut, like happens with the stock ECU?

That would be important for me, as I continue to sit on the fence a little longer on this mod. If I could get my car to have the boost behavior you have without the associated slap down from load cut I all too frequently get, I'd be a very happy man.

I would think a slight increase in the load mapping would fix that issue without causing any real risk to the health of the engine provided that sustained boost is kept at 18 or less. But that's just my personal take on things.

Yes, it pushes the load and boost values up a touch to keep the car out of cut and, if I'm not getting it up here in chillsville, you sure won't in the southern US.

The sustained boost is under 18 and it tapers off over 5k to around 15 by 6k so, it's totally safe.

Once you buy this, you'll be slapping yourself with load cut for not unloading a little cash on this thing earlier.

For the first time since I've owned the car, I actually satisfied with the way it drives/runs. The power has always been good but, the refinement/driveability was a joke on stock tune.

Ok, time to get off the fence and buy the darned thing. I'll start looking for the best vendor price. Thanks, Darth. Apologies to your guys out there serving as test mules for the rest of us. Call me a converted skeptic.

I haven't but I can tell you this, with my simple mods this thing is a totally different beast and I wouldn't be suprised if it pulls some low ET's.

Anyone been to a dragstrip yet? I'm curious to see what kind of mph these things bring?

My plan is to go to the track this Friday....

Best place to buy is Streetside Auto, use a coupon code on the front page and it should land in the $350 range.

Sadly, looks like fail both weather wise and schedule wise for my plan to track this Friday. Gonna see if the 25th can be done, though, that's the next date at my local 1/4.

Have a brand new MS3 (arrives in 48 hours), what is required once installing the HT, dyno tune, etc?
