also, will an axleback from an MSP fit directly into a P5, or will i have to cut it?

should fit... but i have never used oem s***.. check with the for sale board.. they might have a direct answer to your question... not that many people read this thread in particular

just gonna make this assumptopn and say... you didnt have a type R or a gsr... you had a little single cam right?

lol... and it sounded all raspy? hmm.... thats weird.... it isnt a domestic though... so i know whatcha mean.... i used to have a old school gsr with some toda spec C's in it... i also shared that fate of being pulled over all the time.. I havent been pulled over in a long time with the protege... even if it does sound similar to a sti

lol i feared the rasp because every other CB7 owner i knew had it. i ended up doing a 2.5"catback to a s2k muffler and it was quiet. all that was heard was motor. i was very happy with it.

The MSP exhaust tip is longer you will have to cut it.

not sure on the price but i do know the muffler will stick out a bit past the bumper since the mazdaspeed exhaust is for a sedan, not a wagon. protegegarage does have a sport exhaust axleback for the p5 though.

but the mazdaspeed axleback comes straight out of the MSP, right?

One would assume yes, but if you look at some of the video clips listed as "Mazdaspeed", they don't look like the msp racing beat muffler.

Axlebacks can get confusing, There is the Mazdaspeed sport axleback made specifically for the P5. There is also a Racing beat catback for the MP3, the 03 MSP axleback (pictured above) and the 03.5 MSP axleback. The exhaust tips are different on each.

i have a three inch down pipe and it si loud... like srt4 loud.... but it is unique and nice... ill post a vid real fast...
