Race Roots Project Mazdaspeed6 Pictures!

Not to mention a diesel doesn't have to put out ridiculously high horsepower ratings. It's easy to misconceive a diesel's torque with horsepower. You're also only pushing about 3,000 revs and not expecting to make power through 6,000+. The MZR DISI Turbo is definitely a unique application.

Any updates? I'm curious to see how this project is going.

I emailed them last week. He was working on a new crash bar for the car. That's pretty much done. Now he needs to mess with the fueling system and then the tune.

I know right now they are tweaking Madvillain's Speed3 setup and getting that shipped out to him. So I don't know where the Speed6 kit is on the list of priorities.......

Are there any issues that come up from the FMIC blocking the radiator that way? Pardon if it's a stupid question....I'm mechanically SPED.

well from what ive read over on MSF, looks like there are some issues (with the turbo system provided with the kit) and everyones backing out on this, most havent gotten a refund as of today and some people are pissed, as i would be.. really unfortunate, im not taking sides, just posting facts. manily from what im reading, everyone wants there money back, which is tuff because R/R took the money and used it to pay a manufactuer to make the parts, and then the issues start.. weather the parts arent done, or theres a delay or quality issue they cant give the money back because it seems to me from what ive read they (R/R) spent most or alot of it..

People paid anywhere from 3-7 grand for this kit

"The entire ordeal is just wrong. People should not be denied money for product. If I was in the situation I would find a layer to simply send a letter requesting refund or issue an order to attend claims court. May cost some money but not nearly as much as people are losing to Brice. He used customer payments (in full) to fund this project and it backfired. Being 3+ months late on delivery does not give anyone the right to deny refund because he can't afford to do it. I am not a lawyer but this seems to violate a lot of things".

really sad to see but i figured since the information is on the other forum it deserves to be on this one as well

CP-e doesnt want any "competition" when they provide a different service than RR.

and the fact that a CP-e rep is so vocal on the matter is unprofessional of that rep

I agree, but hey that is CP-E and not me.

I am not denying that this is an issue and has taken way too long but the facts on MSF are twisted. Are we postponing refunds currently, Yes we are. As soon as these pieces arrive and we can begin shipping out and we can re-coup costs this will be a mistake of the past.

The cost of manufacturing these items in this quantity was immense and 100% of what was paid was invested into that so it makes things difficult without shooting ourselves in the foot and making things potentially worse.

We have other customers that have ordered regular items and we are shipping those orders out as some have ordered items that are on Back order as well.

Well, right now a more accurate count of people waiting for turbo kits and the money they're out would put things in clear perspective. If you're truly working on resolving this issue, then why did you postpone refunds? There are a lot of questions and I think I speak for the entire community when I say that some answers would be nice. Not just vague generalizations, but some concrete numbers to validate things.

It certainly doesn't look good when the rumors are you sold the MS3 and got an Evo to work on next, especially when ___ people are out THOUSANDS of dollars waiting patiently for a kit that hasn't came yet. Can you blame them for wanting a refund?

Brice, if you're truly wanting to work this out, PM me with all the facts.

Brice, if you're truly wanting to work this out, PM me with all the facts.

I will post them for you so everyone can see not trying to hide anything.

Tyler/Madvillan (got the proto kit) Still due money for compensation for not getting 100% of what was orginally agreed.

Gerry/NJSpeed (Full Kit) Waiting for the entire kit (EBC and WG have been shipped out) Refund still due for other items ordered that were cancelled

Ryan/thegunstaplekid (partial kit) Still waiting he has been compensated with FREE FMIC piping (he will be paying for the extra shipping to Canada when the items arrive)

Justin/mpsowner Australian Guy (Complete kit) He keeps changing his mind about what he wants to do. He is being refunded as soon as he gets us his bank account info he is taking a hit on a restocking fee.

Justin is being refunded because money is currently permitting for the business to continue and to make some sort of action as we actually care about our customers.

As you can see one way or the other CURRENTLY I am doing what I can to compensate customers whether it be free fmic piping or shipping what I have now so that people can see I am doing what I can to make things right.

Any input on the rumor that you sold the shop speed 3 and now have a shop EVO?

Brice,

I think it goes without saying that the community wants to see RaceRoots succeed as a vendor. I don't want you to take offense to the postings in this thread by the site staff. We are simply trying to address a growing concern that some of our members have. Rest assured that any sort of vendor bashing or flaming will be handled appropriately. It would be appreciated if you would update this thread weekly with where refunds and/or project status for the group buy stand. Ultimately, it is in the best interest of the Mazda community and to RaceRoots to come to a mutually beneficial resolution.

Please PM me, or any of the site staff if you have an issue or a concern to address and we'll be happy to have a discussion with you.

Thanks!
Chris

Let me remind everyone that this thread isn't going to turn into a battleground. If you have facts to present, present them here. If you want to have adult discussions of RaceRoots issues, have them here (respectfully).

All inflammatory posts will be deleted and users will receive infractions for such.

What I stated was a fact. How do the issues created by these yet to be released turbo kits not stain a vendors reputation.

Funds were taken up front to produce the turbo kits. Wouldn't producing the turbo kits be top priority instead of purchasing a new car and going on vacation?

Not to mention that they sold the car that they used to design the parts. From what is known only 1 member has received the closest thing to a full kit. Only reason being that they received the prototype kit from the MS3 that RR now sold.

IN ALL DUE RESPECT, aren't moderators supposed to be on the lookout for the safety and protection of other forum members? I DO NOT want to see others screwed out of their money and I am assuming other members and moderators alike think the same.

Are you familiar with what happend with medieval?

Again this is an adult discussion. If I am lying then have other members prove me wrong.

I understand the respect prespective but there has to be a point where enough is enough.

I am familiar with what happened to Medieval. I am also out for the best interest of the M247 community; forums and vendors alike.

On Mazdas247.com there will never be a point where respect is removed from a conversation for the sole purpose of a swift remedy. Sacrificing respect for such a thing only leads to false conclusions and clouded judgment. If you have an issue with the way I am moderating this forum I would urge you to contact a Super Moderator to verify I am in compliance with the duties they have charged me with.
