Okay, so maybe scratch can chime in here... How much rail modification needs to be done for the front seats to work? I got pics of the bottom of the back seats (seat cushion), they don't look like they mount the same way as p5 rear seats, but that can be made to fit, right?

Okay, so I looked at Scratch's seats and they are from the Speed3... These are just from a Mazda3 GT Sedan. Are the seats much different? Would they still be able to work?

MS3 seats don't directly bolt in either and also would need extensive rail modification.

Looking at them, they're very different but I'd think they'd have the same track since they're both 3s

Yea, in the "Post your seats" thread scratch switched the rails I think, which would be probably the easiest thing to do... If this is true then it's what I'll do... Just waiting for scratch to confirm so I can make the guy an offer

Stock 3 seat rails need to come off, then wedge brackets put attached to the fronts...for the rear, you will transfer the cloth from the bottoms to the stockers, then shorten the width of the backs and make some sort of mount for them...my rear backs are welded in...

As for the green...oh yea...I think that is next...

BTW Andrew...I wouldn't pay any more than $150 for those seats...they go for pretty cheap on M3F's...

Just remember the brackets alone will run you about twice as much as the seats are...then if you don't have the tools, it is hard to get the stock brackets off those seats...it took us about two hours to get the stockers off the fronts with an air chisel...

Got him to go down to 160CAD so looks like I might be getting new seats this weekend. Just need to get the brackets for the fronts.

Got my brake parts for the rear. $131 shipped for Hawk pads and Brembo blanks is a pretty good deal from Import Replacement Parts.

I'm doing the VTCS removal this weekend, painting my intake mani and putting in my AWR rear motor mount while everything is out of the way.

^I don't care what anyone says. If a cop wants to search you, they are gonna search you. Whether they have to call in dogs or not, they are gonna search you. Cops lie, flat out. Not all, but some will lie and justify their "probable cause." And a judge will uphold it in court.

Granted I have seen people say no to a search and not get searched. But I have also seen people say no and 20 minutes later, they are getting searched anyways. Its just profiling/suspicion. "O that dog just smelled your car funny, we can search it now!" "I thought I saw a pipe in the glove box when they grabbed out their registration." bs
