What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

i did that to one of my maps.. and then i played around with it alittle bit because it was so touchy, in traffic it sucks ass.. i got it too work really well, took me about a week or so of changing the numbers, testing, changing again and so on to get it right, or get it how i like it.

my setup: 1st gear no changes, 2nd gear its 1:1 after 40% and then its 1:1 through gears 3-6 after 22% but before that 22% i changed the numbers on each by 0.5 + on each gear

Just when I think I'm ready to move on to an AP...

And I HATE math...(dunno)

hmmm.. depends but i think the if its JUST the shark fin it would be a little weird looking.. but maybe the whole roof + shark fin.. that would be cool.. expensive also.

It's muuuuuuch easier than you think to do that. Don't be intimidated by the percentages.

OK, I believe you...

This is what I was picturing:

Bad flashbacks of college math.

Thanks for the clarification Chris.

I'm sure there are formulae similar to that within the bounds of the programming, but the tables you'll be playing with for adjusting throttle vs. pedal relation are really simple.

yeah its super easy.. some of the other tables involve a good deal of math but the throttle tables are easy, too copy and paste the setup for Qwik6 it took me 15 minutes..

just got my TCS mod chip.
now have 2 parts and counting waiting to be installed.

i just got a call, i get my car back tomorrow! WOoooooo

ran it through the touchless wash another month and a half and it'll get the super detail it deserves....

I ended up copying the nuetral table to all the gears. Your 3rd gear seemed low while the 4th-6th seemed like they would be very touchy. I also did some closed loop table adjustments that I read on MSF. I love it. This is a must have. As soon as you give the car any decent accelleration the AFR drops to the 12's and quickly to 11's. My car pulls like a monster now. On a side note. I tried 5300 on FFS and its too harsh on the clutch. 5200 is perfection. I still need to do some MAF calibrating with the whole turbo back system. My AFR at wot stays around 11.5.

How do you adjust the MAF tables exactly??? I did the log and compared the difference in percentages and the grams per second. But I dont know what table you adjust. Must the laptop be hooked up to the car while it is running. Or is this even possible?

i learned alot from MSF as well and im still learning more, if i find the thread on there that shows you how to adjust the MAF tables ill email it too you.. as far as my 4-6 tochiness feel.. for me the 1-3 gears are critical too not be touchy, mainly in taffic on the way to school and when im not in traffic im on the highway which is why my 4-6 are set back to 1:1 at 22% if its touchy on the highway thats fine, at stoplights a touchy pedal is not good.. its really all a matter of adjusting the throttle numbers to your driving style and conditions you drive in on a daily basis, i can make you a conservative table setup if ya want??

those closed loop table adjustments are amazing.. ive played with the adjustments of the closed loop tables alittle bit but the ones posted are the best so far.

For you guys making these adjustments, make sure to post them in the AP thread. MSF does have a lot of good info on this, since they did pave the way for Cobb to get this out to market, and fine tune some of the maps.

Also, if anyone wants to write up some how tos and good values, I'd love to see it.

I agree with Steve on this...post post post...more info the better.

I actually love the was the nuetral table feels in every gear. When im crusing I am barely on the pedal to keep speed. I like to ease off a little sometimes going down hills or when a cop is passing by me. With it touchy the car would completely cut out then jump back in on the throttle. Same with crusing slow through a parking lot. You give it just enough throttle to geep the car moving without letting the revs dropping and letting it bog. With the 1:1 in that situation the car would cut out and jump back in on the throttle. I swear I heard something snap on my rear end last night when this happened.

Yes, I was surprised about the closed loop tables. If you look on msf in the thread about this. The guy is giving tables for the speed3. Then a guy comes in and posts his that he fine tuned on his speed6. Those are the exact tables I used.

Finally got my VRMS6 back.... WOOOHOOO!!!!!!! new clutch pressure plate and bearings... Also had a oil change done and repl the plugs with the Denso ITV22 plugs.... Total cost to me was $150.00... Cost of the oil change and I paid for the clutch disk....Got to say I love the factory warranty...
Will admit the car seems to idle smoother with the new plugs.... Clutch feel seems to be the same ,(read I wish the takeup was smoother on accel from a stop), but its all new so Im happy... She needs a good wash/detail but we got snow in the forcast again for tomorrow.....
