What have you done to your MS3 today?

seriously...sucks when all i've done is clean it off from this past weekend, drive it 20 ft to get sunlight on it, drive it back up 20 ft just to get it snowed on again.

on a side not i actually saw a TR driving in the snow the other day and i couldn't help but wonder what tires he was using cuz my OEMs wouldn't be able to find traction on sandpaper right now. getting goodyear gt's tomorrow hopefully

oems in snow are a deathtrap. im on blizzak lm-60s

found that out the almost hard way, and then the hard way.

almost hard = barely drifting to the left out of the way of the back end of a semi tanker

hard = drifting to the right, wheel getting scuffed on a curb. it was soooo bad that the car kinda crab-walked to the right into the curb because of the pitch of the road. i was braking and steering straight...it sucked balls

No offense, but how can you live on the northern east coast and NOT know that a set of Max Performance tires will suck in the snow?

it's not so much that they suck, it's that it's easier to overdrive their capabilities

no offense taken, but this recent s*** that we have been pummelled by is more than i've seen in the past 15 years combined (de and northeastern md area). and definitly the most ever since i've been driving.

i knew that the OEMs were s*** in the snow, and i do the right thing by initially testing my braking abilities before i get out of the neighborhood. but as carefull as i could be there were some circumstances that proved way out of limit.

also a little bit of this is the first performance oriented car i've had, minus maybe my old miata. and i think that old miata did better in the snow with those continentals and 50% of the weight than the ms3 does with the potenzas and 70% of the weight.

oh and this is totally old news but i got this for the fogs during the phili auto show a couple weekends ago...

seemed like a good price at the time, not sure about the company but it's got a 1 year warranty so we'll see. they are 3k yellows, and im debating whether i should get a seperate switch for the fogs or just leave them as-is (turn off when hi beams on). out of the times i use my headlights i guess about 10% of the time i will be driving on a road where i will use the hi-beams. so im not sure if the labor involved is equal to the amount of use i will get out of needing a switch for the fogs. im sure xenons don't do as well as halogens when switching on and off during hi beam usage

^ nice! what color?

Ordered an ignition coil to replace the one that is causing my car to miss and throw CEL's. Should be in and installed tomorrow.

Dropped my car at body shop to fix passenger side front fender dent that some asshole decided to leave me while I was at krogers....stuck with a 2010 yaris fml!

yeah, wheels look hot in that second shot! nicer than the stock color and match the car better.

Thanks, MGM is a b**** to find a good color combo, originally a wanted a gunmetal color, but its too close to the color of the car and almost looks like a bad paint matching job

nice.

remove the side moldings and it would look even better imo

they will be off once it gets warm here

Just ordered a L/A intercooler like the one in the link, just different higher flow pump and a different core mount/shield. And doesn't have that overpriced turbinetech sticker on it ;)

This is exciting! I definitely want to know more about it after you get it installed. Are you getting tuned after you install it? I would be interested in seeing what kind of pressure drop you see at higher rpms. Hopefully less than I have with my fmic! Good luck!

If the damn tint guy would get it together, I would have my tails wrapped in red film. Hopefully he gets out here today to do it! I've been waiting 2 weeks!
