Rattling Noise on Turn off (shut down)

2008.5 Mazdaspeed 3 / 30,000 miles / Recently, I've been getting a slight rattle from my engine on shut down. Is it a motor mount? Something loose maybe? It happens randomly, more often when it is hot i think. Any Ideas?

Is there a difference with clutch out (in neutral) and clutch in?

Is there a difference with clutch out (in neutral) and clutch in?

Not sure i'll give it a try when I get home, any conclusions if the clutch is out instead of in?

I've gotten the rattle since the car was new, folks have talked about it for years, not a problem that I know of.
